This cottage is super adorable and perfect for a short weekend stay for two. Very comfy, clean and the location is perfect for both Beach and Marina access.
I have stayed here the past 2 summers with my boyfriend and we have no complaints! It’s perfect for the two of us and we really enjoy the location of the cottage and the peaceful porch.

This place was PERFECT! Don was very friendly, accommodated my early arrival, responded promptly to all questions. This place was very clean and waa quite. I will certainly keep this place in mind for my future visits.
I highly recommend if you just need a place to park your things and sleep!
We had never been to Chincoteague and decided on an impromptu trip. This little bungalow was a perfect refuge. It was cute, clean and charming - just like the lazy town. We loved it.
This one room studio cottage with a screened in porch secluded at the end of a wooded lane was a nice place to come back to after a day's activities to refresh before going out in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen facilities were more than adequate. Great for a solo traveler or a couple.
This was our first visit to Chincoteague! We came for a wedding. The cottage was tidy and perfect for our needs. Don, the owner, was friendly and accommodating. The cottage is situated at the end of the lane, which offered lots of privacy. The bed was comfy, the fridge was cold, and our stay was peaceful! We are already making plans to visit again next year, and have every intention of booking the cottage again! Would definitely recommend it!
Everything was great n perfect bout this place. The owners really strive to make ur stay one to remember. Cottage was clean n exactly what I was shown I would be in. The island is definitely a fun little place to explore. With beach not far away. I will definitely be goin back

This place is perfect to enjoy Pony swim. It just takes about 5 minutes by walking to pony swim lane. The host is very kind and helpful ever.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at your little cabin very much. Very clean and neat. Everything we needed was available. I especially enjoyed the screened porch. Very relaxing. Thank you.
Enjoy Don's cottage - the screened in patio was lovely to enjoy coffee and do some light office work. Kitchen had enough of everything to heat or prepare simple meals. Hot water was plentiful and pressure good in the shower. Bed was comfortable. The area is very quiet at night but during the day there is a small business next door that you do hear light people chatter/deliveries. I would say this location is like a modern cabin - just enough of everything but still feels rustic.
Honestly I can’t put into words how disrespectful the owner of this property is, treated us awful cursed at us screamed in our faces multiple times over a misunderstanding of online communication.
No one especially three girls 22 yrs old and a 12 yr old on her birthday to add were treated this way it was awful we were in tears and left the property. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!
We had a lovely 3 night stay in the Hideaway! This trip was the weekend pre pony swim so there was the Carnival and the blueberry festival. I thought that the island would be super busy but it didn’t feel that way to us. We enjoyed kicking back and living on island time.
Some of our favorite activities included the biking/hiking trails and beaches on the adjacent Assateague island-we brought our own bikes and kayaking on Tom’s Cove.
For food we enjoyed margaritas and tacos at Pico’s and made several stops at island Creamery.
We did cook most of our meals-so one note about the kitchenette, there is a really nice induction hot plate which was not apparent in the listing so I packed up a portable stove that we ended up not needing.
Each day started and ended on the porch! We also loved watching the sunsets wherever we were around that time each day.
It was truly a magical weekend and this is such a sweet little spot!
My kids were going to be at their grandparents with their dad, so I decided to gift myself two nights in this little gem! It is little, but has everything you need! Bed is comfy (don't forget to bring your own sheets, etc & I brought a quilt, tho one was provided), bathroom is updated & clean, kitchen is small but appropriate (tiny sink is adorable). There's even a tiny grill outside that would be perfect for some charcoal-grilled burgers or veggies! I think my favorite tho was the spacious screened in porch on the front. It's probably almost as big as the indoor living space, with a slightly smaller picnic tables, two rocking chairs, an overhead fan, sting lights that you can easily plug in for cozy evening conversations. There are some annoying, biting flies (typical of beach area, nothing super annoying), but sitting on this beautiful porch, you'd never know. The Cottage is at the end of a gravel drive, off of a quieter thru street, basically in the residential area of the island, but under 5 minute drive to the historic downtown, or entrance onto the waterway (where I took the most delightful kayaking tour out to see the wild ponies). I didn't have a bike this time, but I imagine that would be even better!Already shared this perfect spot with a girlfriend who's looking for a weekend away with her husband!
