Featured DC magazine 10 BEST/Waterview CLOSEST community to BEACH 3 decks.
This Property is located in a very private location, nestled between Assateague Chanel and Oyster Bay. In the private community of Piney Island with beautiful waterview and horses for neighbors. It is a 5 minute ride to both the beach and downtown Chincoteague. Please let us know if you have any questions about our home away from home. Enjoy the serenity of Assateague Island lots of wildlife to see, watch horses while relaxing on the screened back porch. The property is located in private community. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. Wallops Island on the road into Chincoteague and is home to the Eastern Shore branch of NASA, they have a Museum for kids and if you’re lucky there could be a launch scheduled during your stay. Launches can be felt and viewed off the back porch.
For boardwalk and amusements Ocean City MD is 1 hour drive north.
Chincoteague Island has a Movie theater on Main Street.
There is a Super Market in town on Cleveland Street.
Wine and cheese shop on Main.
There is a liquor store on Pension St.
Bloxom Wine Vineyard is a short drive south of Chincoteague on 13, if you go make sure to talk to the owners (very interesting couple).
Historical towns up and down RT 13.
Lighthouse tours on beach access rd.
No building is permitted on Assateague the adjoining barrier Island; therefore you must drive your car to the beach. I find this feature very convenient since you can unload your gear with a short walk to the beach.
Lifeguards on duty during the summer months.
Along the beach access road you will find many nature trails where you can view many species of birds, deer and of course the wild horses.
The beach is a short bike ride from the house.
