Was a great place to stay for our holiday. The drive was very steep and stairs outside and inside had to be navigated with my daughter in a wheelchair but we managed. Lots of space and amazing views! A proper NZ bach feel.
House had large living space and bedrooms for our family. Hadn’t appreciated from the info how steep the drive would be, but made it work. Otherwise, great place to stay, would happily book to stay again.
A wonderful place to stay with whanau. The house was super clean and well organized— with everything you need to cook family meals and hang out comfortably. The 15-minute walk to Pukawa Bay for a superb swim was delightful as you meandered through a beautiful native bush accompanied by plentiful native bird song.
Weddings are stressful so good accomodation is a must. You do have to bring linen etc, and the downstairs was a little musty?
The location for us is perfect as backs onto our whare, so, Well definitely book again, Thank you ❣️
The property was big enough to enjoy our own space with exceptional views. The driveway was unsuitable for low cars and not really suitable for more than 1 vehicle, it was very steep and sharp angles.
We had a lovely weekend staying here. Amazing views and close to the lake for activities. Bach had everything that we needed and it was great to be able to bring the dogs. Thank you.
Great location of the property with gorgeous lake views. A vehicle with ample ground clearance is a must for access up the driveway. The house needs a good spring clean, but otherwise we had a great stay
I think it would be a good idea to be honest about how terrible the driveway is, before you make people pay! You literally can not drive up it and it’s so steep makes unpacking vehicles pretty difficult. Also, the wood on the inside creaked so loudly most of the night! Rather disturbing. Lovely house and view. But wouldn’t stay here again.
An adequate bach - we usually stay in Kuratau but decided to try Omori this year. We usually pay $100 less per night in Kuratau and expected a bit better at this bach based on that... The driveway is very steep and uneven - luckily my husband is a skilled driver and we have 4WD!! Otherwise, leave your vehicle down the bottom! Being a lockwood, it bangs very loudly all hours of the day and night in the top story which led to many a sleepless and interrupted nights for us!
Lovely view, easy access to walkways and shop (if you like a bit of cardio as involves hills!) Good fishing off local beaches!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful property! Views were amazing from the deck, enjoyed the local walks, and house had everything we needed. Owner was easy to communicate with and reasonable price. House was quite noisey but that is normal with Lockwood homes. Overall very happy with our stay! Thanks!
Great spot with a magnificent view from the deck. Really enjoyed the native birds close by. House was large and had plenty of room for all. Watch out for the driveway as it is pretty steep. Overall we had a great time and would stay again.
Lovely location and stunning views, can walk to the beach, down a short set of steps. Facilities fine, and a variety of rooms to suit most tastes. would book again.
The bach is very conveniently located for skiing at Whakapapa during winters! Its great for summer too as its overlooking the lake with a few mins walk!
Although a little TLC is needed (some curtains and blinds in poor condition, hole in shower wall, missing light bulbs), the house is overall a pleasant place to stay, ideal for extended families. Great to be able to have the dog along.
