Self-contained apartment, peacefully located overlooking McGregor Bay on Coromandel Harbour with a magnificent backdrop of the Coromandel Ranges, farmland and wetlands. There are two safe beaches within 5 minutes walk. Secluded Wyuna Bay is a 5 minute drive. Thriving Coromandel township with a number of excellent cafes and restaurants is only 3 km away.

Coromandel Town is renowned for its trendy, relaxed village atmosphere, artwork and handcrafts created by local artisans. Don't forget to pay a visit to Barry Brickell's Driving Creek Railway and Pottery. If you have a boat, there are numerous local launching facilities. If you wish to go fishing but don't have a boat, there are many local charter options.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The place was tidy and clean on arrival, with a great shower and well-equipped cooking facilities. The space has a cosy, retro feel, though it is a little dated in places.There were a few quirks worth noting. The stove was a bit experimental to use as the dial markings have worn off, which made cooking slightly tricky. The TV remote is still broken (as mentioned in a review from over a year ago), and unfortunately the WiFi ran out during our stay.For families, it may not be the best fit for teenagers as there isn’t much space to kick a ball around, and it’s not particularly walkable to the beach—though it’s only about a 5-minute drive to the bay. The views are of the estuary rather than the harbour, which is worth clarifying in the listing.It would also be helpful for future guests to know that this is the downstairs flat with the owner living upstairs, as this wasn’t clear in the listing. The driveway is a bit tight and can be a little tedious to navigate.That said, it’s a comfortable spot for a short stay if you’re after somewhere quiet and don’t mind a few minor inconveniences.

Great holiday spot!!

Gaylene was an excellent host and the location was perfect for us.Produce from the garden was a wonderful surprise.There were some issues with the TV and Wifi and the equipment in the kitchen wasn't entirely comprehensive, no vegie knife or strainer but that certainly did not detract from what was a very lovely holiday. This is a nice sized place, simple and clean. Lovely touches with the complimentary snacks. Just a word of caution, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the area.

As I demonstrated on your arrival, the Freeview remote can be used for channel and volume changes. I apologise about the ants. Great location.Clean , tidy unit. Steep driveway up from road.Had to leave car and boat on side of road out of sight,not ideal but it was ok...Ants were a bit of a problem,inside and out.

Guests were offered the use of a secure property to park their boat ( admittedly on the other side of town ) but they declined to use it. This will always be offered to people with larger boats in future. People with smaller boats have had no problem with parking them on site though. Am endeavouring to deal with the ant problem.

Entspannter Aufenthalt

Wohnung ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber gemütlich. Schöner Blick auf die Bucht. Vermieterin hat extra einen Hochstuhl für unseren Sohn besorgt. Er hat ihn gerne genutzt. Das einzige das gestört hat, ist der etwas muffige Geruch in den Schlafbereichen.
