High Tides - Ngunguru Holiday Home

Summary:

This spacious and comfortable holiday home is superbly located in walking access to the estuary below and over the idyllic and peaceful holiday township of Ngunguru, gateway to the Tutukaka Coast.

Get set to relax with our Cleaning fee which includes beds made up for you on arrival with quality hired linen and towels for all booked guests. We'll arrange the departure clean** and manage the dirty linen too so you can Holiday until the last moment!



The Space:

Please read for more details of your holiday bach! Comfortably sleeping 8 persons, the house is split-level, with two bedrooms upstairs – one with a queen bed, one with a King bed (one has its own access to the balcony), and one bedroom downstairs – with a double bed and set of bunks.



**Please note** steps to downstairs are unusual in design and may not be suitable for people unsteady on their feet or for very young children.

Stairs also not gated for very small children.



Families or small groups of friends can relax and enjoy the convenience of two living areas, two bathrooms, sun-drenched balcony and section with room to move.



No Wi-fi at the home, however there is reception to use your own data.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the house during their stay.



The Neighborhood:

Located in quiet residential Ngunguru Village, close to the estuary and swimming bays.



Getting Around:

The property is located up a steep driveway. 10 minutes walk down to the local shops, and Ngunguru Sports Complex with tennis courts, golf course, bar and restaurant.



Other Things to Note:

A pet fee of $55.00 per pet is payable and is non refundable.

Please be honest and advise of your intention to bring a pet at the time of booking. Any undisclosed pets could result in guests being asked to leave.



Linen Hire is included with your booking.



The bed linen configurations are supplied up at our discretion based on the number of people booked.  Double, Queen, King beds will be automatically assigned to 2 adults unless otherwise advised by you at the time of booking.

If you require any additional linen changes during your stay then this will incur extra costs as per our terms and conditions.



Prior to arrival we will email you the Directions and key location for the property you have booked will be provided to you within 7 days prior to your arrival.



Interaction with Guests:

Holiday Stays will contact you by email. We are also available by phone and are available locally for anything that may come up during your stay.

We typically leave our guests to enjoy their stay uninterrupted.

The home is well appointed, roomy, has everything you need. Good seating/couches, 2 sets of dining tables. Nice view looking Eastwards. Pet friendly. Good parking. 5 Adults stayed, we used both levels. The internal stairs are a bit challenging/different but we navigated them without issue. The decor is a bit outdated but suited us fine, its a solid, warm home. Nice big kitchen too, with a full size pantry & fridge. We'd stay again.

Hilltop getaway

2 families stayed for the New Year period. We chose this property as it was pet friendly. The description was perfectly accurate. Our stay was more than comfortable. The house is high on a hill, but we managed fine with the boat. The neighbours are all very lovely.

Very spacious house in lovely coastal location

The house is exactly as described. Shelly communicated well and gave us good instructions. Access was easy. We chose here to explore Tutukaka coastline and went on fabulous snorkelling trip from there. Unfortunately we were there for Cyclone Gabriel but the neighbours were a fantastic help. We were safe in the house.

Family Get Together

Nice clean and tidy property with plenty of room for teenagers and adults. Lovely, helpful neighbours too. Holiday Manager was great. We had a couple of last minute extras to add on to our stay and she was very accommodating. Thank you. Only issue we had was finding the place. There is no street no. or sign at bottom of driveway which is quite a steep, concrete right of way. Tight access also if you have a boat. Happily go back again.

Terrible damp smell in the property which we could not remove despite opening all windows. Very unsafe balcony and stairs - definitely not suitable for children. Views obscured by trees, so not as advertised. Toilet dirty and crockery dirty - no dishwasher so reliant on previous occupant to clean dishes.

Location was fantastic

Our family group really enjoyed our stay in Ngunguru. There are so many beautiful beaches and places to explore nearby and this made it for us. The house is very basic - your classic kiwi bach, but it had everything we needed. We had great communication with the property manager who responded quickly when we had a problem with the toilet and got someone to come and fix it.

Ngunguru is well located for enjoyment of Northlands east coast beaches

This house has a lovely view of the headland bush and is comfortable with a well stocked kitchen albeit aged crockery and facilities . Very comfortable beds, a quiet neighbourhood and bird song makes for good sleeping .Crazy stairs to the lower floor which requires the monitoing of aged and young people . The house needs an external rubbish bin for rubbish storage prior to departure ( you have to dispose of your own rubbish in the local transfer station). Maintenance is required - one door was damaged and there is broken outdoor furniture .For the price paid we did not expect to find that. More outdoor seats on the verandah would enable all visitors to enjoy the view . The property is accessed by a steep shared driveway -not for the faint hearted drivers. You have at least 5 beaches within 20 minutes drive which is perfect for a summer holiday and there are bush walks in many parts . Overall it was a pleasant stay in the height of summer holidays and we found the location perfect for day trips further north.

House was clean and very well equipped. A heads up should be given regarding the steep drive, we couldn't get our 7m boat up and the 'plenty of lawn space' was there but you have to get around a tree in the middle. We had a great stay anyway.
