Unique island getaway!

How often do you get to stay in a 2 acre island alone? Cabin is newly reconstructed and the workmanship and decorating are top notch. The wildlife on the lake, especially the birds were our highlight. A Bald Eagle landed right by the deck. We also saw Osprey, Blue Heron, Loons, purple marlin, etc. We used the provided kayaks and spent time in the sandy lake. The cabin is very well stocked for all your needs (including fire wood). The hosts, Matt & Michelle were so welcoming and our comfort was their to priority. Highly recommend!

Michelle and Matt were such thoughtful and welcoming hosts! From the moment we arrived, they made sure we felt right at home, giving us a lovely tour and sharing sweet stories about how the home was built. Every corner of the island felt like it was made for a perfect getaway.We kayaked, relaxed in the hammocks, and soaked in the most breathtaking views. The house had everything we needed and more. Honestly, this was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. We’re already planning our return trip!!!! it was that magical. 💛🌿🌊

Your own little slice of paradise!

This island stay was pure magic. Peaceful, beautiful, grounding—just the right kind of off-the-grid that quickly makes you forget about your phone and to-do list. The energy here had us all slowing down, tuning in, and soaking up every moment. In fact, it was so engaging and restorative that we didn’t hear a single “I’m bored” from our 13-year-old the entire trip (a true vacation miracle!).The property had everything we needed for an extended stay, and Matt and Shelly were incredibly accommodating—always making sure we had anything we might’ve forgotten or hadn’t even realized we needed. Their thoughtfulness made it easy to settle in and just be.We spent our days floating so much that my husband joked he could feel the waves even on dry land. We kayaked, lit bonfires, swung in hammocks, grounded barefoot on the earth, barbecued, and even unplugged enough to enjoy reading real paper books again. It was the perfect reset for our family.We’re already hoping they’ll welcome us back next summer. It’s a rare and special place, and we feel grateful to have experienced it for an extended stay!
