About this property

The bach is simple yet modern leading to a relaxing fun holiday for Mum too. Hot water in the main bach-"The Palace" is gas heated so unlimited showers. The second shower and toilet is in the utility outside-great for the sandy or fishy ones!

Bikes are available to explore the area or just walk the many paths of Pauanui- these intertwine between the streets and lead to the many playgrounds and tennis courts, beach spots etc. At Pauanui you have the benefit of being able to swim in either the safe harbour or around at the more exciting ocean beach. Also do visit the Water Fall just out of the township. It is an easy 15 minute walk from the road amid native flora. You then get to have a great fresh water swim in the deep pool- try sitting under the water fall with the water massaging your shoulders.

We are only a 2 minute walk to the garage where you can pick up your morning herald and essentials. Just past the garage is Pauanui Club with a bistro. Also the laundromat is by the club. There is a good SuperValue store, bakery, bar, cafe and restaurants a 5 minute walk away in the shopping centre. At the Information Centre which is opposite the shopping centre you can find details of any planned activities, get maps and the latest timetable for the ferry across to the 2 Tairua jetties.

Special conditions:
Toddlers definitely welcome, but please we ask that parents be fully responsible due to closeness to the water. You can block the entrance to the reserve with a temporary trellis which is supplied, but the front of my property is not fenced off from the road.

Small dogs are welcome during the summer months- note the section is NOT fully contained as mentioned above.

A $200 damage deposit is applicable on booking, but will be not charged through unless you cause property damage or do not clean and hence a cleaning fee is incurred. If you have chosen not to book and pay additional for a cleaning option then you agree to clean thoroughly, leaving the property ready for the next guest. See paid cleaning options below.

No parties are permitted. Smoking is outdoors only. Please dispose of butts safely and do not throw onto ground.

Extras: Cleaning (Optional, NZ$70.00 per stay or Bathroom clean only $35.00 per stay) NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (sheets and pillowcases, bath towels, beach towels, tea towels).

Stay in Paradise - Pauninui

This lovely little place had everything we needed for a comfy stay. We thought it excellent value for money and would be ideal for a larger party also, with all the beds. The position could not have been better, with a walk to the water being only metres away. Our host was very quick to reply to my many queries and lovely to deal with. We will be back!

3 night get away

Great spot, all as described. We had a great time, all you need for a break. Not a mansion, but thats fine with us, a good clean simple bach, but with heat pump when the heat gets unbearable and extras. Great views of sunset. Close to shops. Used the bikes. Robyn was great to deal with. Thanks, Highly recommended.

I grew up not too far from Pauanui and have always enjoyed what the Coromandel Peninsula has to offer- from the top to the bottom and on both coast lines. I recall all the great times we had at our beach holidays at Te Puru on the Firth of Thames. It is now great to have this beautiful spot for my family and friends to return to.

Why they chose this property

I came over for a Sunday drive one weekend when these sections were first on the market. Went home and decided I could do it and bought just the empty section way back in the 1980's. What a great decision!!
I love Pauanui as it is so relaxing, not too much town and the choice of the harbour beach or ocean beach.

What makes this property unique

Excellent central location on a harbour edge reserve. Water views and amazing sunsets too.
Large section- plenty of room for boats, cars, play.
I prefer to keep the costs down with the objective of enabling others to explore the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. Hence I do not charge a mandatory cleaning fee, but offer self clean or chosen additional paid cleaner options.
