Stunning views!! This is a sunny,comfortable lockwood home,fully furnished complete with all modern essentials and secure off street boat parking. Located on Mt Paku this easy access property offers fantastic sea views stretching from the Coromandel ranges, over Pauanui beach,and out to sea towards Shoe and Slipper Islands and beyond.
Only minutes drive or walk to safe surf and swimming beaches, local shops (including a supermarket, chemist, hardware store etc),service station,cafes,restaurants,play ground, golf course,boat ramp and many wonderful bush walks.Tairua offers something for everyone.
Tairua is a 2 hour drive from Auckland city and is centrally located within a 30 minuite drive to Whangamata, Thames or Whitianga,or a 20 minute drive to Cooks beach, Hahei, Hot Water beach, and Cathedral Cove.
A regular ferry service also runs accross the harbour to Pauanui.

Special conditions:
We supply all linen except beach towels (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmat and tea towels). Bath towels must not be taken to the beach please.
We do not allow camping or extra people staying on our property without prior approval.

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$80.00 per stay); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Leave the house tidy, put dishes in the dishwasher and take your rubbish please.

Cosy bach with spectacular views

Clean, tidy kiwi bach, with spectacular views and conveniently located for beach, walks and Tairua town. Well-appointed, clean, spacious bedrooms, good shower, great deck & bbq. Better than it looks in pics even!

Incredible location

We absolutely loved our stay and wished it could be longer. Lovely comfortable house with the most sensational views.It made for a terrific base to explore the Coromandel. We are keen to return and stay longer.

Magical

My sister in law and I booked a couple of nights in this beautiful holiday home. Extended an extra night with absolute ease, the owners are lovely and made our stay extra special with great communication The accommodation is homely and decorated with gorgeous kiwiana, really makes you feel at home. Better than the photos

Lovely view. Could sit and watch it all day. Comfortable and cosy. Nice to have a full set of utensils, pots and oans, plus some food essentials: salt. pepper, spices, oil. Mattress was comfortable.

Paku hill Tairua

Great views. It is a lockwood house so people need to know it is going to make some interesting noises and you are not getting burgled:-). Great place to take a break, handy to Ocean Beach, Whitianga, great places to eat locally as well.

The views are amazing ! Beds are comfortable, well equipped bach. Does get a bit creaky but you get that with a Lockwood house. Highly recommended

Paku Hilltop. Views forever.

Great property, second time we have stayed and thoroughly enjoyed the location, views, privacy and peace and quiet. Only small negative is the master bedroom really needs new blinds or curtains as the current ones do not provide any privacy. Apart from this and a few scary creaks and bangs being a wooden house, would highly recommend the property for a relaxing break or longer term stay.

Fantastic Views

There was a hiccup on our arrival, the local company contracted to clean change beds etc hadn't come. Both the company and property owner were very apologetic and took steps to make up for the disappointment and the situation was eventually rectified by about 6pm. Being an older Lockwood property the creaks and groans from the property all through the night was a significant distraction to the point I would not stay again.

TAIRUAS BEST KEPT SECRET!

Oh we loved this place so much! The practicalities such as a safe and secure space to park our boat right through to the thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. And the VIEW! It was simply magical being able to have our morning cuppa out on the deck whilst taking in such a gorgeous vista. The bed was comfy and we slept so well. And my partner loved the sound system and the music from the local radio station whilst cooking on the BBQ - magic!! To add to that, the host Michelle was so kind and accommodating and we were so grateful to her and the wonderful cleaners for allowing us a late check out as my partner was quite ill. We will definitely be back again - thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise!

Amazing stay at Paku Paradise

The property has stunning views. The property is well appointed, the host has done a great job of providing everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The only downside was the loud noises emitted by the Lockwood cabin, very unsettling, difficult to sleep. The host Michelle was lovely, answered all my emails very promptly. Thank you Michelle.

Beautiful Views

The house was fine, views dining and living room beautiful. Kitchen was fine but could have used more lighting. The problem was the very loud banging of the house - starting in the evening until 4:00 AM or so. Loud enough to wake you if you did doze off! My husband went to answer the door a few times thinking someone was knocking. So that was a issue. We had paid to have linens provided, but the beds were not made up. I used the linens in the closet to make the bed. No big deal but I was surprised. Would we stay there again, no, due the loud noises.

We loved staying at this Bach… the views were amazing, the home clean and there were lots of homely extras that make it comfortable. We appreciated all the outdoor seating options as well. Being a Lockwood it did creak, a lot, which comes with the territory of being an all wood house. Would certainly stay again.

Stunning Sunrises

Loved our stay, early morning sunrises were beautiful. Spied a pod of dolphins by Slipper Island. The batch was cozy and comfortable with everything you need to feel at home.
