Stunning views in a magnificent waterside location

From the time you arrive you will be greeted with the WOW factor, a totally refurbished property with an extensive deck which overlooks the most stunning water views. Relax on the deck and watch tall ships, yachts, dolphins and (if you're lucky) orcas make their way up and down the channel in front of the house.

This property has been totally renovated with a new kitchen; extended living area; enlarged deck; new en-suite and walk in wardrobe; interior decorating and the list goes on and on. The large master bedroom has panoramic views with a newly renovated en-suite and walk-in wardrobe. It also has plenty of room for a travel cot and other baby paraphernalia if required.

The multimedia system is comprehensive and there is a Blue-Ray/DVD player should you wish to bring disks with you - a small selection of movies is available as well.

Paihia townsfolk are famous for their friendly and welcoming character. The town is a 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) from the house and all its amenities and restaurants are there to explore.

It is the perfect holiday home this "Ahuru Mowai" - a comfortable relaxing haven. The ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Bay of Islands and beyond.

Your Hosts, Gavin and Anita, will welcome you to this corner of paradise and hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay.

Please advise if you have very small children (toddlers) or babies so we can help you secure the deck and organise a portacot to be made available.

Parking for 2 cars only - other vehicles will need to park on Veronica Street roadside.

Please leave the house clean and tidy, a $100 cleaning fee is chargeable should the property be left in a particularly untidy state.

We do not charge a bond - however we will require an imprint of a valid credit card on arrival.

What an amazing stay! Great communication and support from Gavin, beautiful location, spectacular views throughout, phenomenal kitchen, AC in every room, great shower, the most comfortable bed we had on our 2 month trip. Don’t hesitate on this one.

Stunning views

Our group of friends arrived to a beautiful welcome basket and stunning views of Paihia. The home was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a dinner in town the first night and then ate at the legendary Duke of Marlborough on the second night. The cruise to the Bay of Islands and the hole in the rock was perfect. Great house and lots to do for our short stay.

Such a “wow” location, thanks for adding to our kitchen reno budget, we now want a smeg gas cook top 🤣 quality place to call home whilst in the bay of islands, thank you for sharing, we will miss that deck and bay view

Breathtaking Views!

Our stay was perfect. My parents (80), my sons (19 & 21), and my husband and I all had an incredible time. We were able to walk to town to enjoy a few incredible restaurants as well as watch the fireworks on New Year's Eve from the deck. Sitting on the deck was magical!

Amazing property

The photos do not do the house justice! The living area opening on to the deck with the views is fabulous. All of the bedrooms have the same view over the water and the master suite is separate upstairs with windows on three sides. Very well equipped house with a thoughtful welcome basket. Light and spacious. An easy 20minute walk into town, which is lovely along the water's edge around low tide.

Had a wonderful stay at Veronica View! From the minute we booked the host provided us with all the information you could need. All about the house, what to do on the trip up from Auckland and the best things to do around the Bay of Islands. The house was immaculate and the views were stunning. Great facilities. Spectacular views!

Wonderful stay, fantastic views of the bay, the upstairs bedroom & en-suite is so lovely, we really felt ‘at home’. The entire house is really well presented and comfortable, a perfect place to relax and have a holiday. The deck area is a terrific place to sit back and take in the views and the additional tv lounge room made for a great spot to lay back and enjoy a good movie. Loved every minute of our stay! Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful house.

Bay of Islands Bach

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious and well designed home! A wonderful deck, open floor plan and plenty of sleeping room made for a great stay. We probably didn't see as much of the Bay of Islands because we didnt want to leave the house. Thanks to Gav and Anita.

Amazing view

We stayed for three nights only, but we wish we could stay longer. It is a luxurious property with most amazing views from a large veranda and all the necessary equipment etc. It was easy to contact the owners, who responded very promptly. . Would highly recommend.

Stunning views, lovely vacation home

We are a family of 3 traveling from California and this was perfect for us. We highly recommendVeronica’s Lodge - great location, beautiful house and gorgeous views. No photos can do justice to the views from Veronica’s Lodge, it’s absolutely gorgeous. The property is immaculately clean and well appointed. The hosts are very welcoming (we really appreciated the small touches like the cheese and crackers - after a looong drive it was a welcome snack!). Communication with hosts is easy and pleasant.

Amazing views and service

The property really lived up to its photos and listing. The views are amazing and the location perfect to enjoy the best of the Bay of Islands. We had a multi-generation family trip and the house worked very well for everyone. The hosts were great and their communication was quick and friendly. We ran out of BBQ gas and Gavin sorted it out very quickly and with no fuss - great service! We highly recommend Veronica Views.

Fabulous views, beautiful bach

What a stunning property! The weather was terrible, so terrible we didn't even get out on to the amazing deck! But the inside of the property was so beautiful it didn't matter. Loads of space, but still felt cozy. 3 generations of our family stayed and everyone agreed it's one of our favourite places! Thanks for having us :)

Wonderful views and a peaceful setting

Veronica view is ideally situated on a hillside close to Paihia with views of marinas and leisure boat traffic in the distance and only a few minutes from the ferry to Russell. Enjoying the sunrise is a must do from the east facing deck and in the evening take time to enjoy the stars. If you enjoy hiking you can even walk to or from Paihia along the shore in low tide. The kitchen is well equipped with all the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable and amenities were good. Spacious and well maintained the home was quite comfortable for two couples. The hosts were very responsive to questions in advance to help our travel planning. We would certainly recommend Veronica view for stays in the Paihia area.

Lovely property

The home is as described and provided everything we needed for your stay. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and the home was very clean and spacious. The host provided Nespresso coffee pods which made for a quick cup of coffee to enjoy on the deck each morning.
