About this property

Spectacular Beachfront in Whiritoa

This cosy bach is positioned directly on the beach front. It offers guests expansive views of the white sands of Whiritoa.

Whiritoa has a lagoon at one end which is perfect for children to safely paddle in. At the other end is a blow hole which can be found after a quick walk through Native bush. During the summer months the surf beach is protected by surf lifeguards and the surf club serves bar meals on Saturdays.

The home now has heatpumps in the lounge and master bedroom for perfect temperature inside year round.

Bedroom 1 has a King bed and Bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Both include deck access with beachfront views. Bedroom 3 includes a single bed plus a single bunk set. This is a great wee set up for a family beach escape!

Whangamata is 10 minutes and Waihi is a 15 minute car ride if guests would like to visit either location.
We will only rent our property to people who have some previous bookabach or AIrBNB feedback.
Special conditions:
Deck not suitable for small children, no railing and 1 metre drop. Smoking not allowed.
Dogs are permitted but must be controlled at all times as there is a dotterel sanctuary directly in front of the property(beach access for dogs is 2 minutes walk away)

Incredible stay at Whiritoa

We have been visiting Whiritoa for many years, and you cannot beat the location of this property. It has everything you need, and the view is absolutely stunning. We were even able to watch a full moon coming up over the ocean, while sitting on the deck. The air-con in the bedrooms makes a huge difference.We would definitely come back here.

Just what you need

Loved this place. Perfect for us, the kids 11 & 13 had plenty to do on the beach, swimming in the lagoon and loved climbing around the rocks at the blowhole. Free Tennis courts nearby kept us all entertained. Beds were super comfy and the kitchen well equipped for easy cooking, great to have the bbq. All round a great stay. Thanks very much

Holiday house wonderfully situated right on the beach, with large deck. House has huge windows which gives you expansive views, so you really feel that you are on the beach, even when you are inside. Beds very comfortable, dinning table excellent for board games. Large comfy sofa. Good water pressure. House very clean. We quickly felt at home. Everything we needed was there. Is dog friendly, fully fenced. While the beach directly in front is off limits to dogs (due to bird life??seasonal) but we only had to walk 4 minutes, to the section of the beach that allows dogs. A great place to relax. We are looking forward to staying again.

Its hard to imagine a better position on the beach than this place and hard to believe you could ever get tired of that view. It feels just like an old fashioned Kiwi bach should. We loved our stay here and will be back for sure.

Beautiful mid-winter destination

The Bach was as tidy as its description in the reviews. Everything worked. It’s cosy and very warm ( two heat pumps), which was great for our July stay. The views of the beach and watching the sunrise from bed were spectacular. Two things to be aware of: The tap water has a slight sulphur odour, which is natural for the area. There is a filtered tap in the kitchen sink. There are only plastic glasses provided, so if it is important to you bring your own wine glass.

As beachfront as it gets...

Tidy medium sized house with plenty of room , very clean and on an ideal beachfront section...The beach is amazing , beautiful with many places to check out at Whiritoa...Swimming on the main beach is best suited to the experienced or people familiar with Whiritoa beach , it can be hazardous...There is a awesum swimming lagoon at North end of beach that is great for kids...The beach and town was quiet compared to some of the more populated beachs, which was ideal for us , great location...

Beautiful beachfront stay

Amazing beach front home really tidy with extras :) Beach is a bit rough for younger kids but the “blow hole” And “thegap” ( right by home ) plus estuary down other end makes up for it. Nice comms with owners very easy to deal with recommend!

Another great stay at this property. The weather was a huge improvement on last summer so we were able to enjoy relaxing on the deck with its gorgeous view. Only complaint was it was too short!

Perfect getaway

We had an amazing stay. The communication was excellent, perfect spot right on the beach and the dog friendly part of the beach was only a couple minutes away. The setup is superb, everything we needed, great amenities, especially the 3 fridges!! We loved our stay, the kids didnt want to leave.
