25mins to Whitianga township. Close to Coromandel Beaches, Great dining at Luke's Kitchen, and other Coromandel eateries, A Great relaxing environment with plenty of books, dvds, and family games. Great BBQ, and kitchen facilities, with outdoor loungers and sun shades.
Air-conditioning and plenty of blankets for those winter getaways - a walk on the beach is a great Stress release, and the wild beach weather is an amazing experience.
Property consists of a large open plan lounge/family area, a dining area, and kitchen, separate laundry, one bathroom, and a separate second toilet. The Bedrooms are made up of two large bedrooms (Queen Beds), and one smaller bedroom (one single bed and one bunk set).
Special conditions:
Pets allowed with prior approval.
Extras: Cleaning (NZ$140.00 per stay) NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels)

I grew up in West Auckland in the beautiful rural spot of Waimauku, with nearby West Coast beaches of Muriwai Beach and Maori Bay the ocean has always been a draw card for me, with the family farm also uniquely surrounded by Kauri forest I have had an amazing upbringing close to both land and sea, and strong connection to the outdoors.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this property and the surrounding Matarangi area while staying there many years ago, it always had a great family bach vibe and I have tried to enhance that over the years that I have been privileged to look after the property.
I have traveled a lot internationally and every time I come home to NZ I feel extremely lucky to call NZ home - The Coromandel is one of many gems of NZ and Matarangi is a great base to explore the surrounding areas of New Chums, Kuaotunu, Opito Bay, Whitianga, Coromandel Town, Hahei, and many more unique little NZ spots.
Every time I walk in to the property I just take a breath out and the relaxing can start, I hope my guests get the same feeling.
