Bay Vista Pakawau Beach Front

Bay Vista is situated right on the beach front with expansive views of Farewell spit and Golden Bay.
With 3 bedrooms, a modern kitchen and open plan living it is suitable for up to 5 people.
A few short steps and you are onto the beach which is great for swimming, kayaking (there is one in the garage) paddle boarding or surfcasting.
If you fancy a midwinter getaway Bay Vista is the perfect retreat with a cosy log fire to keep you warm.
We are just 200 metres from the Old School Cafe and tennis courts, who will tempt you with some amazing menu choices.
Collingwood township is just a short drive away.
Nearby attractions include:
Farewell spit - included in Tripadvisors top 5 hidden beaches in the world and New Zealand’s longest sand spit (25 km) and a nature reserve. It is also an internationally-renowned bird sanctuary.
Wharaiki Beach - amazing sand dunes, rock formations and caves. Well worth the walk to see the baby seals frolicking in the pools.
The Langford Store - nestled in the heart of the Aorere valley, 15 minutes inland from Collingwood on the way to the Heaphy track. This general store and post office has been providing essentials to the Bainham community and travellers since 1928. Soak up the sunshine and the tranquility of the surrounding scenery. The store is stacked to the gunnels with a great collection of nostalgic items

We had a lovely stay house was just as we had thought and just a walk to the beach the fish however had something different in mind so bit unlucky there but it was just beautiful sunrise to sunset perfect and Chris was so helpful if we had any questions his instructions were way to follow thanx again for sharing your beautiful house with us Lynley and Neil

Lovely bach with everything you need apart from some more blankets or duvets. Owner was friendly and very helpful. Nice and close to the beach. Would be very happy to come back again.

Great stay @Golden Bay

Very nice cottage with enough space for 4 adults. Ensure to come8er-Pack with sufficient food as the next supermarket is not close. Don't expect Wifi. No problems for us. We really enjoyed it.

Wow what a beautiful property, everything you need is there. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck looking out to sea. Lovely weather. Hard to leave but we will be back.

Fabulous Beach Front Bach

Great Kiwiana bach right on the beach with a fantastic view from main bedroom, dining and kitchen. We very much enjoyed our two days even if the weather was a bit inclement. Fireplace and heatpump made it very cosy. The bach has everything you need.

Just what we needed!

What an awesome place to stay.kids loved it, overlooking the beach from the porch you can sit enjoy a cheese and cracker while watching the kids play on the beach. Its steps away! Mum can relax to !Caught a few fish straight out from the batch at high tide on our last evening. Lovely wee restaurant just down the road and the camp shop stocks all the ice creams and snacks youll need.

Winter getaway

Perfect place for a bit of R and R, especially as the weather was crap while there. First day was fab sitting on deck in the sun, last day would have been good too, murphys law. Dog had a ball on the beach as did we and meeting people and dogs. The old school house good for a meal and chat. Thankfully we hd a fire which made a diff, nice and toasty as was pretty cold for a few days. Had everything we needed, would be happy to go back again.
