Sunny, large, open plan lounge/dining with window seats and bi-fold doors opening onto large deck. Take in the views to West End, Otarawairie Bay, Whale Island, White Island, East Cape and beyond. Views from virtually every room. Large outdoor table and chairs, seats eight. Umbrella, sun lounger, outdoor lounge chairs and Weber BBQ. Large smart TV with sound bar. Sky (including sports) and fibre internet. Second smart TV in downstairs bedroom (internet service only).

Fully equipped modern kitchen with loads of bench space, induction hob, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher, coffee machine (Nespresso pods).

Master bedroom (upstairs) has a king bed and access to the main deck, with semi ensuite bathroom.

Second bedroom (upstairs) has a queen bed, one single bed and a fold out single bed.

Downstairs bedroom area opens onto another deck with an outdoor table and chairs. This room has a queen bed, small kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and a smart TV.

There is a bathroom on each level, upstairs is semi ensuite. A third toilet with full size vanity unit upstairs. Huge internal access carpeted garage, includes laundry with washing machine and dryer, plus a beer fridge/freezer. There is an outdoor clothes line plus clothes racks. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water for when you return from the beach. Room to park a boat.

The internal access garage has a comfortable king bed if the bedroom configuration doesn't suit. The garage is carpeted and has blinds. Maximum of eight guests at any one time.

The house is across the road from the beach, shops, cafes, Cadera restaurant/bar, surf club (patrolled in summer) and Mahy reserve and playground. There is a surf school at nearby West End beach. Walk to secluded Otarawairere Bay or the nearby Fairbrother Loop at the bottom of Ohope hill.

Nearby is the Nga Tapuwae o Toi and Kohi Point walkway from Ohope to Whakatane. Ohiwa Harbour with boat ramp, fishing, water sports , kayak, SUP and e-bike and scooter hire, is a ten minute drive away, as is the Ohope golf course. Over the summer months, Wharfside Port Ohope is open, there will be food trucks, live music and a pop-up Mata Beer bar over the holiday period.

Whakatane is a six km drive away over the hill with restaurants, cafes, shopping and boat ramp. There is another boat ramp at Port Ohope. Try Whakamax with five movie screens or the Aquatic Centre with waterslides to entertain the kids if the weather is wet. Just a bit further afield are the Awakeri Hot Pools. Ride the rails at Awakeri Rail Adventures with self-drive golf carts fitted with rail wheels, travelling from Awakeri to Rewatu Road and return.

During the summer there are three berry farms open. Julians Berry Farm and Cafe, purchase strawberries, ice creams, or pick your own strawberries. There is mini golf, volleyball, a playground for children and animal farm with rabbits, calves and chickens. Blueberry Corner and Rn'Bees berry farms are also worth a visit. Blueberry Corner has a cafe, ice creams and playground. Rn'Bees strawberries and ice creams. Take a tour boat trip out to the bird sanctuary at Whale Island (Moutohora). Rotorua, Tauranga and Mt Maunganui are a one hour drive away.
