About this property

Beachfront Raumati South

A great bach for a romantic escape, a family holiday, or to spend time with friends. Watch the sunset and go to sleep snuggled in luxury linen to the murmur of the waves.

A comfy bach all year round - fully insulated, doubled glazed, heat pump.

Wellington is 48 kms away (an approximately 50 minute drive).

'Bach No. 4' is located on Raumati South beach, which is a safe swimming beach - also popular for paddle boarding, surf-casting, and when conditions are right - surfing and kite-surfing. Also a great walking beach, being part of 40 kms of beaches sheltered from prevailing westerly winds by Kapiti Island. When the tide is in, a walkway/cycleway links Raumati South to Queen Elizabeth Park (which contains walking and cycling tracks) and sandy beaches.

'Bach No. 4' is a short walk to Raumati South shops (cafe, restaurant, takeaway shop, Four Square dairy), children's play area and tennis courts.

Or walk/drive two kilometres to Raumati Village for more cafes, restaurants, bars, takeaway shops, bakery, pharmacy, boutique shops and Marine Gardens.

'Bach No. 4' is situated adjacent to the owners' home.

Kitchenette contains limited bench space, a small sink, bench-top oven, microwave oven, single hot plate. There is a gas barbecue on the deck.

Off-street parking for two vehicles.

Television (with Freeview) has a HDMI cable.
Also on-site, a Bose Docking Station with a 3.5mm audio cable.

'Bach No. 4' is a great place to unwind at the beach, or a base to explore the Kapiti Coast and Wellington area.

Bronwyn was such a great host, perfect location for what we needed. Very welcoming and provided everything we needed and more. Even changing our sheets and towels as we stayed for 14 days. Having homemade shortbread for when we arrived made it extra homey too. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Lovely spot to enjoy the beach. Had everything we needed, clean and tidy and very easy to find thanks to the excellent directions from our host. Will definitely stay again!

Very comfotable beds and sofa. Fabulous view. Just across the road from the beach. We enjoyed watching all the dogs and their owners going past. The BBQwas great.. A special treat was the chocolates and homemade biscuits.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!!!! SUPERBMy trip to New Zealand from the UK, was made quite wonderful by this apartment. The balcony overlooking the ocean was perfect. Just 5 seconds walk from the beach. Clean and well equipped property. Parking for the car and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful

Return visit to Bronwyn's

The location of this bach is awesome, both me and Shane loved it. We cooked on the BBQ and had alfresco dining both Friday and Saturday night.Our friends came up and decided they loved it too and stayed with us two nights. We went for a walk on the beach and swam in the sea, what a fabulous weekend. Thanks Bronwyn for letting us have our friends up.We shall be sure to come and stay again.

A Slice of Paradise

Clean, smart accommodation at an idyllic, private beachfront setting. If you're after a quiet, restful break, then this is perfect for you. Lovely local walks, cafés, restaurants with a laidback, friendly vibe. Very welcoming. A friendly community. Would highly recommend this property, and would like to return. Host was welcoming, but left us to it for the full 5 days which we appreciated. We felt very at home and refreshed by the much needed break. Thank you:)

Breakaway with my sister

So lovely to wake up in bed and see the sea. We stayed four nights. Everything we needed and more. Heated towel rails Electric blankets/heat pump Beds were very comfortable. Owner even washed the windows down as sea spray was blocking our beautiful view Sunsets were spectacular. Thanks a bunch was very enjoyable Lovely baking on arrival We put washing out owner offered to dry in her dryer if still wet at the end of the day. We will definitely stay again Can’t recommend it enough.

Beautiful spot to relax

Three of us stayed a week and loved it. The apartment is small but perfectly formed and the thoughtful touches make all the difference - home baking, lovely linen and comfy beds, local info, games for the kids etc etc. The location is incredible, just steps to the beach and walkway. The views from the balcony are spectacular. The weather didn't co-operate but we still had a lovely week and would love to go back for some sunshine next time! Communication and welcome from Bronwyn was excellent. 100% recommend.

Quiet, Clean, Comfortable and Private by the sea

The property is small, but was clean tidy and worked well for two people who needed it to sleep with out road noise. Bed were comfortable, Kitchen operation was small, not a lot of bench space for 3 days for us it worked ok, but there is limited possibility to do a roast meal if that was on the list while staying there, the oven is a small bench top item. The cook top is not a permanent in bench inserted item, and doesn't simmer to a lower heat very well, but one managed it, the house was warm and the bed comfortable, we would go back again.
