About this property
Stunning magazine-featured Crabtree Cottage
Coronavirus. We treat this issue seriously. We are double vaccinated and boosted.
The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and ventilated between all different guest stays. Bedding is washed and dried. Soap and disinfectant are provided for guests. Crabtree Cottage has space and plenty of it..
Set back from Clifton Rd in a young but flourishing Mediterranean inspired garden bursting with artichokes, figs and pomegranates, couples can take cover from the sun in a clever outdoor dining space or relax with a book beneath the pergola draped with flowering hops.
There is ample room to entertain a few friends and the kitchen will satisfy the enthusiastic cook taking advantage of delicious produce Hawkes Bay is so famous for before scrunching down by the fire.
Two bicycles enable guests to take either a short or longer ride along the bike trail that’s right outside the entrance before relaxing between freshly ironed Egyptian cotton sheets at the end of the day.
There's an gorgeous outdoor fire to take the nip off spring and autumn evenings and we hope guests will pick in season from the abundant fruit trees and herbs around the garden.
Crabtree Cottage is brilliantly situated to enjoy all Hawkes Bay is reknowned for.
It's minutes from Elephant Hill and Clearview wineries and restaurants, a two minute stroll from the beach famous for surfcasting and right beside the popular bike trails around coastal Hawkes Bay and the Tukituki valley.
The world famous gannet colony is 5 minutes away by vehicle and there are choices of tour operators to get you there or you can take a picnic with you for a half day walk, tide permitting.
Our charmingly small and quiet Te Awanga village does provide shopping opportunities though! Take a stroll to Paperworks Art Gallery or explore the huge collection of covetable items bought in from France at So Vintage a couple of hundred metres down the road.
Consistently rated one of the world's best golf courses, Cape Kidnappers, is just five minutes up Clifton Rd and The Farm situated at the Cape offers spa treatments of a high standard.
Please note Sky TV is the basic package only.
On public holiday weekends or Hawkes Bay event weekends a 4-night minimum stay may apply.
Special conditions:
Smoking outside only.
Pets allowed only with prior approval.
Suitable for couples or if you wish to bring a baby with a porta cot.
Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;
