Rotorua Getaway

Great location for the Blue Lake and Redwood forest. Plenty of room ,good on site parking. Comfortable beds. I would book again.

Really nice stay

Very handy for mountain bikers, comfortable bed and nice and clean. Shower is a bit small but the lovely spa pool compensates. We would gladly stay again.

Selective to clintele

Myself and my husband had to knock on neighbouring doors to find our accomadation there was no sign post by the mailbox or address on the website, first time in Rotarua in pouring rain upset, frustrated, going on to the evening there was no sympathy from the owner when we finally found the place, this is not our first rodeo. Our stay was disappointing as a condo is not what I believe it to be, this was a basement apartment under the owners house, the photo of the CONDO was misleading. The 2nd day I went to visit family and my husband remained at the room the owner walked into the room whilst my husband was walking around in his underwear, the landlady quickly walked out without saying anything, no apology or explanation. The shower was absolutely disgusting the landlady said she was away, poor excuse,probably because we were maori she didnt clean it, never again, I hope this review deters Maori or any other dark skin ppl away from this basement apartment.

Nice host, good place to stay.

It was adequate for our stay. Nice host and in a good location. Internet connection was useless, but we used our own SIM to share between ourselves. Overall, a nice stay.

Beautiful Stay

Lovely stay. It was lovely to meet the owners on arrival. I live locally but was doing a staycation with my niece. The central lounge/kitchen is warm with the heater and both of us were very relaxed during our stay. The section is in a quiet area of Lynmore. Yes, you are staying in a small self-contained area of another person's home but it is still a peaceful home away from home feel. The little extras like coffee, milk and tea were a bonus that was not expected but appreciated surprise as I had forgotten my own milk. Thank you again. i will be sure to return if I am ever thinking of doing another staycation.

Happy guests.

This is a beautiful place to stay if you want peace and quiet and a good night's sleep. Warm and cosy, our hosts Valerie and Gordon were such wonderful hosts. Lovely to have met you both. I would recommend this place to people who love quiet evenings and being on their own. My daughter and I thank yous both for having us and we will be back again ❤️ I can't fault anything about it. Home away from home.

Good property, bad booking process.

Our overall stay was good. However, I will not be booking through Book-a-bach again. I found their booking system labourous and unnecessarily long winded. I admit that I'm not the most gifted on a computer but became very frustrated with the process.
