My family had a wonderful stay. The house was fantastic - spacious, clean and with everything we needed and the best location beside the beach. Perfectly situated for our jaunts around the region, we did so much but at the same time had a restful break from anything. Thank you so much!
A wonderful spot right on the beach - lots of outdoor spaces and location great for biking. Excellent communication and even a desk in one of the bedrooms for the teenager studying for exams
Highly recommend a stay here. The owners are very lovely. Even left us a bottle of wine and coffee. Bring your bikes. And make sure you visit the tractor ride to the gannets. Was amazing. As is Maraetotara falls and Waimarama beach

Thank you, Alan and Sue, for making our stay so comfortable and pleasant
A quiet, private, comfortable older Bach with all you need to enjoy a relaxed stay. Plenty of outside decking and wonderful views of the bay. Great location for cycling and with local wineries at your doorstep. The hosts were great to deal with and well organised. Some generous extras were a welcome treat on arrival. Very happy and would love to come back again.

These quests (4) would be welcome back any time. The house/property was left clean & tidy. They had booked 12 months in advance and communication at all times was first rate. They did comment that more drawer space would be helpful and we have taken this on board. Can recommend them to any future owner.
Fabulous seaside bach fully equipped with all the essentials for a perfect home away from home, holiday break. Beds are comfy, house is clean, neighbourhood is quiet and relaxed. Coffee, tea, plus milk in the fridge was a lovely touch for our arrival late the afternoon, saved us rushing out. Plenty of kids equipment to keep them busy outside.

Beachfront Retreat is the perfect house for a relaxed seaside break. On one windless day, I walked at low tide all the way to Clifton and back while being entertained by various seabirds fishing for breakfast. The kitchen is well set out (and up.) We dined in most nights. The home felt very welcoming the minute we walked in. Thank you, Alan!
Awesome kiwi beach house, amazing views of the cape, fishing and surfing at your doorstep, the whole process was easy and friendly, a bottle of wine and plunger coffee were a nice touch,
Thanks Alan & Sue

We had a lovely stay at Alan and Sue's place. The house definitely has a homely, 'lived in' feel, which we quite enjoyed. The wild ocean beach is just a few steps away but the deck was reasonably sheltered from the wind. The bedroom arrangements make it a great place for a couple + kids (only 1 double bed).
