About this property

K West holiday home with pacific ocean and mercury views

K West is one of the original baches in the area and retains a casual beachy feel. You can see and hear the ocean from the property and be on the sand within a minute or two's walk (barefoot ok!). Our street is quiet and overlooks the reserve and campground area. You can watch the boats coming and going from Te Ahuahu (Great Mercury Island) as well as incredible sunrise and moon-rise over Blackjack. Bike or walk to Luke's Kitchen for a cocktail and pizza or go the opposite direction to Rings Beach or Matarangi for even more white sandy beaches.

We are from West Auckland and enjoy the wild outdoors whether it is trail running in the bush or surfing the west coast. We have travelled widely and are from diverse cultural backgrounds. We enjoy returning the favour of hospitality which others have shared so generously with us over the years

Why they chose this property

Kuaotunu is all about blue and white - blue ocean and white sands in sunshine. We love looking north towards elusive Moehau in the distance, knowing that we have traversed most of the ridges on the Coromandel. Kuaotunu is also about surprisingly fantastic hospitality such as Lukes Kitchen and the newly opened Kuaotunu Store. There's nothing like a Luke's margarita at the end of a busy week!

What makes this property unique

K West is all about relaxation and enjoying a haven which is close enough to the action if you choose but just far enough back off the beachfront to be a quieter and more private option. We are privileged to have purchased K West from the original owner/builder
