Loved the open and airy feel. Everything we needed for our family. Not far to walk to cafes and etc, very short drive to the old city and other attractions.
We were very happy to stay at this clean, warm, comfortable home. There was a small issue with the alarm code but the owner was available immediately to assist and fixed the issue that evening. We were very happy with the accommodations and would gladly stay there again.
This is a really nice place for a family, with a lot of space and a well-appointed kitchen. We were able to eat in comfortably for several meals and lounge around during parts of our days. It was clean and the host was generally responsive. In the summer it was quite warm inside, especially in the sleeping loft upstairs, but with open windows and a fan we were able to be pretty comfortable. Limoilou is a sweet neighborhood and conveniently located to Quebec City highlights, though we were glad to have a car to get around. Thank you for everything!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Quebec. The house was in a great location within walking distance to many services. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Our host was very helpful.
Property was as described and well priced for our family of 6. It’s a short drive to the city center and hockey arena. We could have probably walked if we did not have young children. We loved coming back from a cold/snowy outing and using the wood burning stove. Only downside was the traffic noise at night as the house is on the corner of 2 streets.

We specifically booked this location in order to have two full baths only to find the upstairs 'bath' didn't include a sink. Beds did not have top sheets and duvet was visibly soiled. The driveway was dangerously icy with no salt provided. Host was flexible regarding check i

Response from VrboOwner on 24 March 2025
We’re disappointed to receive this review, especially given our commitment to providing a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained space for our guests.
Regarding cleanliness, all beds are properly prepared for each guest, and any concerns could have been addressed had they been communicated during the stay.
To clarify, the upstairs bathroom is accurately listed, and by definition, a bathroom does not require a sink to be considered as such. Our listing photos clearly show the bathroom as it is, without insinuating the presence of a sink—perhaps just as clearly as our no-smoking rule, which this guest also chose to ignore.
Indeed, it’s important to mention that this guest violated our strict no-smoking policy by smoking inside the property. When confronted, they responded with aggression, including yelling and inappropriate language toward the host. We strive to create a respectful and enjoyable environment for all guests, and such behavior is not tolerated. Such behavior should have no place on VRBO, as it goes against the principles of respect and hospitality.
We appreciate all feedback, but in this case, we believe the review does not reflect the true quality of our home or the experience we provide.

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Some things that could be improved: kitchen lighting inadequate, light switches confusing with multiple light switches with unknown functionality, no real cooking utensils and no sharp knife, the oven would not maintain temperature or broil, the upstairs toilet seat needs securing. Yard vegetation overgrown and gates did not fasten. I would reorient the upstairs bed from the close proximity to the skylight and ceiling. A heads up on the extensive road works around the house and tips for navigation would have been helpful. We came to believe that Quebec uses the same name for many of its streets: Route Barrée. But again, overall the house was functional, clean and good for us and the above comments are knowledge for improvements, we had a wonderful time and the location was great for bike path access and walking to the old city.
This was a great older house for our visit to Quebec. Everything was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Conveniently located in Quebec so we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go within 15 min or less. There is no AC in the house or fans but we visited in October and didnt need it. The house stayed warm and cozy. We just opened windows if we needed a breeze. Beds were very comfortable. There were 2 towels and 2 washrags left in each bedroom for us. We arrived after dark and missed the driveway when we first arrive. The entrance is on a one way street so we had to make another lap around. I might only leave one friendly, constructive feedback. The front and side windows only had a simple white shade on them each and the back windows had none at all. Some had panel curtains with the shade but you couldnt pull them closed. It makes the house bright in the day, open and light, which is great, but it does let alot of the street lights in at night too and lights up the rooms early in the morning when the sun comes up. It did make it difficult for us to sleep. That is no fault of the owner. We are just used to having our rooms darker when we sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and having such a nice place to stay. We appreciate you allowing us to rent your beautiful home.
