Victoria and I live in the friendly little village of Hakatere just down the road from Sunshine Cottage. I'm retired now but always seem to have projects on for home or community. We love the natural peace of this place, beach walks, the roar of the ocean waves on the stoney beach at night, starlit nights and the wildlife. We regularly see seals and dolphins off the beach. Numerous migrating bird species come here annually from all over the world to the ever changing river.
