Stone Cottage was the perfect weekend getaway for my family. We enjoyed walking to breakfast on the square, to the beach for afternoon sun, and to the farmers market on Saturday morning. We will be back!!

The stone cottage was a great place for us to stay. It was clean and close to everything. The room with the twin beds was perfect for my two granddaughters. The main bedroom was large and and perfect for me.

This is my third VRBO lodging for 2026 & I believe I am making good choices. Upon entering the cottage is a pretty entryway—single bathroom is directly in front—and to the left is the small bedroom with twin beds. To the right is the kitchen & dining area; which is well-designed/equipped and of ample size. The back door leads to a small patio with a courtyard surrounded by tall bushes for privacy. Next is a cozy den-like alcove for watching TV, with a sofa big enough for 3-4 people. Lastly is the main bedroom—grand-sized and also well-designed. Each bedroom is well-equipped with tech plug-ins, and each has a white-noise sound machine; altho it is a quiet place.I booked Stone Cottage 60-days in advance, not knowing it would be pouring rain so the event itself, Oktoberfest, was a bit of a flop. But we managed and found other things to do—enjoyed Footloose at Granbury Opera Theater. Stone College is located just 2-blocks from Granbury Square; and that in itself makes it a great location. The only negative aspect is the cottage is located behind a small apartment complex, but we never heard activity/noises coming from that direction.The AC was especially nice and I was able to adjust it; which is a prime feature. My sister says smaller bedroom was not as cool—did have a small window AC unit—tho she did pull cover up over her head, LOL. There is plenty of on-site parking as well and the hostess was readily available if anything came up. Yes I would stay again!

This was a gem of a rental! Clean and very conveniently located near the square and the lake. Beautifully and cleverly furnished to make the best use of the space. And the A/C worked very, very well. We would love to stay here again when we are back in the area.

Our stay was wonderful! Such a quaint, relaxing spot and perfect for a quick weekend getaway for my husband and I. The place was so clean and Bridgette was very helpful. Being minutes away from the square was also very convenient. Highly recommend this cute cottage.

Wonderful wonderful experience at The Stone Cottage! Beautiful house with a great layout and all the amenities you could imagine. Beds were comfortable, our girls loved the cabinet with toys and kids books. Super short walk to the main square area, and private driveway for parking was great. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay here very much! Super cute house in a fabulous location with all the amenities and space our family of 4 needed. It was very clean, A/C and WiFi worked great, and came stocked with some bottled water and snacks. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at The Stone Cottage. The location was great as it was walking distance to the town square and the beach. Communication with the owner was excellent. Great place to stay in Granbury.

The best VRBO I have ever stayed. Well stocked with quality items. Very comfortable bed with amazing pillows. Great location one block from square. Ample parking, quiet, easy to work TV. Excellent owner, excellent communication. Will definitely be back.
