We’ve curated the perfect space for you to disconnect and recharge. Bring a good book, a bottle of local wine, and enjoy the absolute silence of winter by the water. This 4-bedroom home is equipped with fully furnished living and dining areas, as well as a backyard spot perfect for fishing, boating, canoeing, and winter ice skating. The yard, among the river, features a fire pit, a tree swing, and multiple sitting areas. You will enjoy traveling downstream by boat into the Detroit River bay, or taking a short drive to nearby attractions, shopping areas, and local restaurants.

Fantastic location and layout, lots of space on 4 different levels, including 3 living/family/rec room spaces. The main floor has great flow, too. Spacious bedrooms and baths, fully stocked kitchen, several dining options, including outdoor dining at the waterfront. Great location, just minutes to downtown Windsor or the charm of nearby communities like Kingsville and the shores of Lake Erie, also close to shopping and dining options.

We arrived to a lovely bottle of wine that was a gift from our host and it just got better from there. We made dinner in the well equipped kitchen and we had a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The location makes it easy to get anywhere in the area you want to go, from Belle Isle, Detroit, to Point Pelee National Park on Lake Erie. In addition to the hot tub, we spent another lovely night by the river with a fire in the chimnea.

The house is clean and has lots of rooms and plenty of dishes. The back yard along is the river is big but could use a general clean up, lawn cutting, and dock repair. It is on a busy street but was relatively quiet at night. We enjoyed the day trips to the Canadian Transport museum of classic cars, and the wineries

We had a fantastic stay for my close friends 40th birthday. We picked this location because there was a dock that could be easily used to launch a kayak. There was also a boat that was already provided in the water. My 2 year old loved the ping pong table and pac man machine. There is a nice big table for family dinners and two large TVs for watching movies as a group at night. The kitchen and BBQ were easy to use as was the hot tub!

Good house, awful beds

Our family appreciated the spaciousness of the house and especially enjoyed the backyard—aside from the hole in the fence that allowed our dog to wander into the neighbor’s yard. Unfortunately, the beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable, to the point that we ended up sleeping on an air mattress. We reached out to the host about this issue; she mentioned she would look into getting a mattress topper, but we never heard back. Upon arrival, we also had to rewash all the linens due to a strong mildew odor. When we brought this to the host’s attention, she dismissed our concerns, insisting the linens were fine.We were also under the impression—based on the photos and previous reviews—that the kitchen would be fully stocked. That wasn’t the case. Basic items like a blender and baking sheets were missing, and several provided items were not in good working condition. The host responded by stating, “Please note that we provide basic essentials listed on Vrbo for your stay.” So, if something isn’t explicitly listed, don’t count on it being available.We would consider returning in the future if the beds were upgraded and the kitchen better equipped.
