Shearing Quarters
Welcome to the Shearing Quarters.
Our family home used in the winter as our Shearing Quarters. This house is kinda unique a house you have to see it to know what I mean!
Outdoor covered deck makes a great chill zone out of the hot Marlborough Summer. Out front we have a semi private area with a heated Spa. ( We are currently still working on tiding up the inside to get it ready for the summer after our busy winter season). More photos and details to follow.
Each of the main bedrooms capture the warm sunny mornings.
Room 1 - Queen bed Room 2 - 2 x King singles Room 3 - Queen bed Off the lounge room - 2 single beds. (This room does not capture the sunny mornings but is warm and off the lounge room)
The house as is can comfortably sleep up to 8 people. If needed we can provide more mattresses for a Marae styles in the lounge.
Bathroom/s - Inside the house there is a seperate toilet, shower/ bath and hand basin (very unique but functional). If house is at 6-8 people staying there can be access to the bathroom (toilet/ shower).
Lounge - TV with Smart View box, wifi available. Piano that is nearly tuned for our guests to enjoy. Fire place for heating.
Dining Room - Huge dining table big enough for the entire family.
Laundry- Huge washer with dryer there for use. Clothes horse and clothes line available with pegs and some laundry powder available to use.
Kitchen - Gas top stove with electric oven. Kitchen equipped with good basic cutlery and utensils.

Excellent house with everything you could possibly need, and amazing value. I especially enjoyed the hot tub! Thank you so much to the hosts, communication was really good too.
Loved the "Kiwiness" of this place, was able to cook up a nice meal in the well set up kitchen & enjoyed eating out on the back deck. All 3 couples had a good nights sleep in the beds after a long, dusty day driving through Molesworth from Hanmer.
Comfortable beds, fresh linen, very clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. Thank you to our hosts we had a lovely time.

Great base for some local wineries
The house is in a small town but inside the property is quite private. Facilities are good and look to be improving. The heated spa outside was well enjoyed by all.
really cool house! lots of room and beds, had a really good time! feels like home. awesome back deck, and spa at front. super cool place. great communication with the host. would definitely stay again
It was good place to stay, except we couldn't get the tv to go. We also had a couple of people with walking disabilities and had trouble moving around the house with all the steps. A handrail by the steps would have been a big help. Otherwise it was a great place to stay. Thank you very much to the owners
The property is easy to find, a quiet residential area.Plenty of room for the group, clean comfortable rooms and beds, great shower. The wool book is amazing, thoroughly enjoyed reading it especially as we are from Southland and sheep farming.
