Nice but needs some help

First want to say the host was extremely responsive and very detailed for the stay. The place was nice but several things were broken in the condo. The second shower was broken, one of the beds kept breaking, the pull out sofa was a little broken (extremely uncomfortable), the ironing board was broken, one of the bedroom windows was broken. The linens also didn't seem fresh and new. I would have expected nicer bedding for a VRBO and a little more comfort with the sofa and beds. The place was greatly located and was nice but the stay could have been so much more comfortable with the above problems. The host was very accommodating with providing/delivering the coffee maker and did offer to pay for half of a mattress to help the sofa bed more comfortable. It was a holiday weekend we stayed and we just dealt with everything and made the best of it. The place did need a deep cleaning (rug was dirty, sofa wasn't the best and the towels and bedding were old and and a little stained). Also there was a distinct smoke smell from someone smoking. We did enjoy the stay but the place was somewhat disappointing for a VRBO.
