Overall the property was fine, but there were a bunch little things that added up. The backyard area was unusable as it was completely over grown, unlike what the pictures showed. The shower was a bit difficult to use and get any pressure as the shower head/ faucet switch was hard. The shower curtain kept falling down if not placed perfectly, the wall behind the shower surround was the issue. There was however very hot water available and it got hot right away, that was nice. The light above the kitchen sink and stove were out, but the kitchen was well stocked with everything to need to cook. In the upstairs bedroom there was a nice looking lamp by the bed but it was not plugged in nor was there any place to plug it in, so the only light option was the standup lamp by the door, across the room from the bed. There were nice TVs in every room, we didn't use them much but it is nice to have that option. The bathroom door had a sliding bolt lock, it was difficult to get it in place sometimes as had to have the door just right, one of our guests got locked inside for a short time as you had to kind of lift the door to get the bolt to slide, so just a concern for older or weaker guests. The pool table was really nice to have, not a common feature. Overall its a good place for people without young kids, stairs are kind of steep for young ones and seniors, we had both. John was a great host, but these are some things that need to be addressed.
The town house is in a great location and has a cool vibe. It is an older unit, so be aware the windows rattle when windy and there wasnt an outlet by one of the beds upstairs. The sofa seat cushions were stained. The biggest negative is the two sides of the townhomes are connected by a door on the main floor and a door upstairs. Even though locked, that felt strange and we could hear a LOT from the other townhouse. Could hear talking, laughing, the TV, and people walking on the stairs. Also, they were smoking in the other townhome and the smoke odor came through the vents into our side. The beds were comfy and the unit was clean.
