Fiery Peak is a unique experience and one of the few places you will find that is off-grid, eco-friendly & wifi free. Powered by the sun. Offering stunning mountain & rural views and pristinely clean air.
Check out our Eco-Retreat listing as well if you have a friend or family couple you want to stay at the same time. You can also find us on line at Stay Geraldine for direct bookings.
Our 12 acre property is just 8kms from the village of Geraldine for you to pop in to stock up on supplies, grab a coffee, takeaway or a dine in meal. So much to see in South Canterbury: day trips to Lake Tekapo, Mount Cook, Mount Sunday (Lord of the Rings filmsite), Hakatere Conservation area with lakes and hikes, Peel Forest (day hikes) or just relax at Fiery Peak with mountain views, birdsong, clear blue skies and starry nights. Guests say that a clear night sky at Fiery Peak is as rewarding as viewing the dark sky at Tekapo- check out the stars from the deck or lie out on the grass to take it all in with your eyes.
CATERING
Complimentary organic teas and coffee are provided for your arrival. The glampsite is self-catering so please bring your own food supplies for the duration of your stay. Alternatively, pop into Geraldine to stock up for cooking or BBQing. If you like to dine out there are some lovely restaurants & cafes to choose from. Alternatively grab a takeaway: cooked chicken, a selection of salads, bottle of wine from the local supermarket or check out the takeaways available at Royal India, Q Foods, Foodies, Thai or good ole kiwi fish, and chips.
BBQ
We have a BBQ for guests to use. It is gorgeous sitting outside enjoying the evening, cooking, wining, and dining with the backdrop of the mountains.
SPRING-FED PLUNGE POOL
Yes - that's right. Your own natural swimming pool to take a wake-up plunge or cool down on a hot day. No chemicals, fresh and flowing and private.
FIRE PIT
What fun!! to roast marshmellows and chat late into the night. We want you to experience the joy of firelight however also need to have restricitons on the use of the firepit on windy days/evenings (due to the proximity to the forest on our property) and also when in fire ban season in our area. But we'll let you know.
