Don't be fooled by the many condos that advertise themselves as 'right next to the parking lot gondola'. Those can be inconvenient because that gondola station has a line every morning and every afternoon that can be as long as 40 mins to get to the lift ticket office, ski school or just to go into the charming town of Telluride at night vs this condo is 2 mins away by foot.

Non-reserved parking available.

Weekend Stay

Overall, this place gave us everything we needed. 6 grown men were able to sleep comfortably and navigate well-enough in the space. Stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. We had issues with one of the showers not working and host was responsive and amenable.Note: 'Ski-in, Ski-out' label is slightly misleading. I think it fits all the appropriate criteria to label it as such, but just know, it's a good 10 minute walk in full ski gear to the lifts. Did not end up presenting too much of an issue, just a note.

Nice place in mountain village and close to gondola

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect. Cooking was a bit tricky so just keep that in mind if you are planning to prepare meals here. Overall it was great for what we needed for the weekend

nice basement unit

This unit is in a great location, walkable to mountain village area and when we needed a last minute place to stay for an extra day of skiing powder, it fit the bill perfectly! It is great for a couple or a close set of friend or a family of four. -the upstairs sound travels through the ceiling a bit-the primary bed is comfy but definitely has a set of body divots worn into it-it is compact but uses space well, with the curtained off second bed, and small kitchenette-we enjoyed the steam shower.

Cozy & great location!

The four of us enjoyed our stay here very much, easy to walk to the Mountain Village gondola, and the house was small but well equipped! We enjoyed the steam shower after a day of skiing, and the beds were very hard to get out of they were so comfortable, overall great stay!

sounded better than it was

There certainly were some pluses that made it a bit more luxurious than other options. The main bathroom with the walk-in steam shower was wonderful. It was small and lacked some things like a stove, dishwasher, and counter space. There were not locks on the doors inside

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location

We really enjoyed our stay here - the location is beautiful, the apartment had everything we needed, and was the perfect home base for our vacation. We were visiting Telluride with our 1 1/2 year old and the home was perfect for our family. I also have to mention how comfortable the beds were which is not something I say lightly!!! The host was super responsive and helped make our stay great. We would love to return!

One night stay with friends

All in all, great experience. The condo was excellent, loved Telluride area. Had a bit of confusion on check-in (never received an email with key code info), but once we tracked down the owner, all was great. He was very accommodating and helpful. Definitely recommend the property.

Perfect House in Mountain Village

We spent a week over Thanksgiving and the house was perfect! It is in a really great/beautiful location - short walk to Mountain Village and gondos (lots of restaurants and good shops). It's a big house with plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the hot tub most nights. The hosts were great to work with - very helpful and responsive! We will definitely be back.

Great Get-away!

First of all - disregard any negative reviews you see on this rental ! I was there with my son and daughter-in-law and this condo couldn't have been better at fitting our needs. it is nicely furnished, great bathrooms & showers and comfortable beds. It is just a 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants and the gondola down to Telluride. There are 2 lovely patios nicely furnished. I love the fact that it is downstairs right off the street so there aren't any stairs to climb. The owner couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. The only downside I found is that the kitchen has no stove, but a 2 burner hot plate, which is fine for what we needed, but the sink and refrigerator take up so much space there is not enough "work space". My suggestion to the owner would be to make some sort of cover for about half of the large farm house sink. I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing location and walkable to the gondola

I wanted to love this place, but everything is slightly off or just okay. Location for mountain village is great and tucked away. The first bathroom cold handle didn't work and the sink was clogged causing it to fill up every time it was used. We had to purchase toilet paper as there was barely half a roll for two bathrooms when we arrived. There were hair ties on the ground in the bathrooms and in the showers which made us feel like the place wasn't cleaned between uses. Finally the primary bed seemed to be an old memory foam that gets extremely hot causing my wife and I to constantly wake up in middle of night sweating although the windows were open letting 40 degree weather come in.

Do not stay here!

First this is a one bedroom with an extra bed in the living room. The property is currently being remodeled and has holes in the walls, the bed is being held up by a rock, and there are countless other imperfections throughout the property. It dose not have a full kitchen. Just a dirty refrigerator and a burner. The overall place is not very clean either. We have stayed at about 20 VRBO properties over the last few years and this is the only negative review I have written. This place was so bad that we did not stay and got a refund. We had to scramble to get a last minute rental for our weekend ski trip. Look elsewhere!

DO NOT stay here especially in the summer

We arrived on Sat and although the inside was fairly clean the two outside patios were not usable they were so filthy. We messaged the owner thru the app and he responded that they would send their son to come clean which they did. But then we experienced a horrific night with the owners, who live full time in the unit above, making incredibly loud noise from 1-3am with loud banging and dogs barking. The outlets did not work in the master bedroom so we had no electricity in the only bedroom. There is not air conditioning or windows to provide air through the unit unless you open the doors and it was high mosquito season. The last night we came home to prepare dinner, we experienced the owner above again dropping water and dirt onto the patio by vacuuming, cleaning the grill and sweeping the unit above. We asked them to stop and encountered a very delusional and down right disrespectful owner. He told us that everything cld not be perfect for us and acted like he was completely out of it. The owner made us feel uncomfortable and was disrespectful to the space that we rented. There was a major roofing construction project happening right outside that went on each day with a screaming forklift at 7am-7:30 pm. This should’ve been documented in the rental details as we would never have rented this property if we could not access or use a clean patio or sleep at night. After many years of renting through VRBO this was the worst. Would not recommend renting

Nightmare rental

The rental started off bad and ended worse. We had contacted the owner originally about the fact that my family was getting in before check in and would need somewhere to store their bags. They assured me it would be fine and that they would take care of it as they lived upstairs to the unit we were renting. When it came time to actually start the rental, not only did they not help, but they had a worker in the unit until after check in time and when we used the door code to drop off their bags he left us a rude message to get out "please get your stuff out of the apartment". They ended up being no help at all. Then there is the apartment itself. It is small, and had only a hot plate to cook with but the cookware did not work with the cook plate. Dishes were an odd mishmash of things that looked like odd pieces from your grandma's garage sale. The thermostat did not work properly (which we have seen in messages before). It was set to 68 but the temperature on it read 85 and up. For the price, it was a great disappointment, but then to top it all off, after we left, the own billed us an additional $1000 for supposed damages that we had done. There was a stain on a rug that was covered the entire time we where there (it was by the pull out bed and that bed came out and stayed out until right before we left...no way anything could have spilled on it), and chips along the wall by the front door up to the top of the door that we could not have reached. Worst rental ever

Buyer beware

The condo is in an excellent location and has a wonderful steam shower. The host was available for problems and concerns, but not accommodating or sympathetic to the problems we encountered. We arrived at expected check in time on NYE and the key code to enter was not correct. The host did answer the phone and informed us that the condo was not clean or ready for use. This interrupted our evening plans for dinner, as we had drove over 12 hours to arrive in time to shower and get dressed for the evening. We were allowed to place our luggage inside the condo and a few items in the fridge, while we had to go wait somewhere else for it to be cleaned. The condo was not ready until after 8 pm. The cleaning crew threw away our food, left bags of trash at the door step, and used soap in the trays. We were given two rolls of toilet paper for our week stay. The laundry room was available (if requested in Advance) which we did was not unlocked until 48 hours into the stay. We were not usually able to wash bc the host who lived above the rental had both washers/dryers full of clothes for more than 24 hours at a time. (Horribly inconsiderate). The host must also own at least one baby elephant and a chihuahua as there was constant barking and pounding on the ceiling. Trying to nap after a couple of days of skiing would not be possible for most without ear plugs. Additionally, when I inquired about possible compensation for all the above complaints, I got a lot winded explanation of the economic problems in the world and airline cancellations. He did offer for us to leave with a full refund, knowing that it was difficult to make such arrangements on short notice. Beautiful condo. Terrible Host!

4/10 Poor

disappointing

Positives were good location to the mountain village, and access to the Peaks concierge. Drawbacks were many: On check-in we discovered that the dishwasher door was missing springs and had to be propped up with pans to load and unload. The downstairs fireplace was borken and a blanket was covering it to prevent cold air from blowing in-despite that cold air continued to blow in and duct tape was eventually placed across the fireplace opening. The wifi was essentially useless, with very poor signal making any effective internet use nil. The first night we discovered that the heating pipes made a very annoying continuous beatlike banging on the master bedroom ceiling (upstairs bedroom floor) which made sleep virtually impossible. Was told try to get used to it like "living next to railroad tracks". 3 days later the plumber attempted to fix to no avail, so we moved into the other downstairs bedroom and let one of the kids sleep in the master. Then the heat would shut off on its own, when complained, discovered this was a known issue and were told to turn the electrical off to the heater from the main circuit breaker for 3 minutes, and turn back on- this worked but about every 6 hours the heat would shut down again. When we complained about the noise and the heat again, they offered us their 2 bedroom place in Lulu city and since it was a downgrade, credit to buy something from their store- uh...no thanks. Bedroom closets and drawers were full of owner personal items and clothes, limiting our ability to put away clothes- that was pretty weird. Kitchen was poorly stocked, no roasting pan or collander. No blowdryers. When we asked for one, they sent one over that when plugged in, did not work at all- gave up and didn't try to ask for another one. At least 6 of the lamps and lights had burned our bulbs or were misssing bulbs- they did bring over a bag of new ones for us to put in. Overall, disappointing for the expense.

Nice location that needs some attention by owners

The condo is close to the Village and was easy to find, but I wouldn’t say it was “next to the Peaks”. We walked downhill in the morning to get our skies and uphill in the afternoon, which made it a bit tiring but not impossible. The ski valet at the Peaks was exceptional. All of the attendants were helpful and friendly. The ski medallions were also a plus and definitely saved lift ticket costs. The condo does have a good amount of living space and met our needs. We cooked most of our meals at the condo. The kitchen had useful equipment but was also missing some very basic items. We had to scrub many of the pans to make them useable, there were limited cleaning supplies, smaller measuring cups were missing, and serving spoons missing. There were knives but many of them were dull. The condo needs some attention and a deep clean. The issues we found included: • A lot of clutter and owner’s personal items. The storage cabinet in the dining room had items that would never be used by renters. The master bedroom closet door did not fully close and the closet was filled with paint cans, supplies, drop cloth, two dining room chairs, framed art, and the shelves were packed with bedding. We felt like we were tripping over everything all week. • The lighting in the day time is great but at night is very dim, especially in the kitchen. • Many of the dresser drawers are broken. • Bathroom faucet handles are not aligned and make it difficult to figure out a balance between hot/cold water. • Bathrooms with grout and tile have a mildew buildup and the master tub was clogged. • Inside surfaces are dirty and in need of dusting including the fireplace screen, the tops of headboards, and a lot of the personal items with cobwebs. • Pillow protectors and duvet covers are a must. • Carpet needs to be pulled to get rid of ripples. The hot tub was well maintained and the BBQ worked but needed some cleaning in order to use. Unfortunately we had to shovel snow and ice off the deck to get to both of them. The front deck required shoveling which should have been done before we arrived. We were able to make the accommodations work for us but we decided that in fairness to other renters we needed to be honest in our review. The location is showing wear, could use a deep cleaning, a good handy man to fix the small items that make a good impression, and a declutter of the owner’s personal items.
