Each bedroom has sliding doors leading to the outdoors, while the open-concept living room provides entertaining space.

Pawsitively pet-friendly!
Bring your furry friends along for the adventure—Dogs are welcome to join you on the boats. Just don’t forget their lifejacket because while they might be great swimmers, even the best pups need a little extra help staying afloat. Whether lounging on the deck or cruising the waters, your dogs will have a blast (and so will you)!

We're proud to support sustainable travel! Our property features an EV charger, so you can keep your electric vehicle powered up and ready for all your island adventures. Enjoy the convenience of charging at home while you explore Thetis Island’s natural beauty with an eco-friendly footprint. 🌿🔋🚗

Nestled off the West Coast of British Columbia, Thetis Island is home to approximately 400 residents and zero predatory animals. Being one of the smaller southern Gulf Islands in size and population, Thetis Island offers an idyllic retreat. Peace and tranquillity, picturesque rural landscapes, stunning shorelines, and crystal-clear waters await visitors.

Residents enjoy convenient amenities such as two marinas, a post office, an elementary school, and a variety of cottage industry businesses. There are no large grocery stores in the island, so bring what you need for an epic vacay. The marinas do offer general provisions like some fresh fruit, veggies a freezer section, and a minimal selection of alcohol. So if you’re a cheese connoisseur or love your craft beer, the best you’ll get at the General store is maybe a cheddar and some Blue Buck.

Thetis Island
Experience the enchantment of the Gulf Islands through the serene art of kayaking. Embark on a journey of discovery as you paddle through the picturesque waterways surrounding Thetis Island. Delve into the underwater marvels surrounding Thetis and nearby Porlier Pass, renowned for its captivating reefs and wrecks, perfect for adventurous divers seeking exploration.

Discover an abundance of shellfish in the pristine foreshore areas encircling Thetis Island. The island's coastal treasures await your exploration, from easily-trapped crab and shrimp to plentiful clams, mussels, and oysters. Leisurely cruising through the sheltered bays aboard a dinghy offers another delightful Gulf Islands pastime.

We had a lovely time and the cabin was great. Super easy to check in and out. The kayaks and paddleboards were a hit and enjoyed exploring. Water was calm and warm and we will be back for sure next summer.

Absolutely beautiful place, plenty of amenities at the cottage, and great host. You can kayak to a nearby island and see a bunch of seals sunbathing. Just a fantastic place to relax by the water, read a book, play cards, and drink a beer.

Excellent property! Only thing to be aware of is that you need to bring all of your garbage off the island with you so just be aware of that before arrival.

Best private ocean stay ever!

This was such a lovely place to stay. A private ocean getaway. We swam, went kayaking, and rested on a private dock. The house was fully stocked with all we needed, the bedrooms were lovely, the outdoor shower was a plus, and the covered deck was perfect for our evenings. The host Elly was amazing, she even connected us to a local fellow that delivered us fresh crab for an incredible price! There were such little extras, like her homemade jam which was delicious. Telegraph cafe nearby was also a delight for a serene cup of coffee and homemade goodies. Thanks Elly, we will definitely come again!!

A Breathtaking Escape to Thetis Island GetawayOur stay at Thetis Island Getaway was nothing short of magical, a perfect blend of luxury, serenity, and thoughtful hospitality that left us longing to return before we even packed our bags. From the moment we arrived, the pristine condition of the house set the tone for an unforgettable retreat. The home was immaculate, sparkling clean, and exuded a warmth that made it feel like a true home away from home. Every detail, from the plush linens to the carefully curated decor, showcased the owners’ meticulous care and thoughtful design, creating an atmosphere of effortless comfort and charm. The house was a haven of convenience, with every amenity fully stocked and ready for our use. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy living spaces, everything was thoughtfully provided to ensure a seamless stay. For those traveling with electric vehicles, the on-site Tesla charging station was a game-changer, adding a layer of modern convenience that made exploring the island stress-free.But the real star of Thetis Island Getaway is the view. Oh, the view! Perched above the water, the house offers a breathtaking panorama that captures the soul. I've been hosting guests since the '90s when I ran a small hotel in the Dominican Republic. I traded the Caribbean for Vancouver Island, where I've been living for over 20 years +.

I moved to Thetis a few years ago. When I’m not making sure your stay is top-notch, you can find me volunteering at the island school, library, or community centre—because hey, giving back is part of the fun!

And if that’s not enough, most recently, I spent 4 weeks rallying classic cars through Southern Africa—because who doesn’t love a good road trip, especially when it’s in a vintage car?

So whether you need a restaurant recommendation on Thetis (there are only a few), travel tips, or a good laugh, I’m your go-to!

Why they chose this property

I’m all about the forest and ocean access here—there’s something magical about having both at your doorstep and ending the day with a drink on the dock at sunset?
The peaceful sound of the waves, the vibrant sky, and a chilled drink in hand—it’s the perfect way to unwind and soak it all in. Trust me, you’ll be hooked on the dock life just as much as I am!

What makes this property unique

One of the things that makes our property truly unique is our dock with bouys ready for you to hook up to. It’s the perfect spot to park your boat, kayak, or dinghy, and it adds a special touch to the whole waterfront experience. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a day on the water or just want a place to tie up while you relax, the dock is yours to enjoy!
