About this property

Stay Downtown in one of Princeton's historical homes, The Burr House

BC Reg. #H642690264

Sleep in a piece of Princeton's history.

Downtown, in Princeton's most walkable neighbourhood, high on 1st St. situated amongst other points of interest like St Paul's Church, The Law Court (now Town Hall), the Firehall, Livery and Museum. Look out your front windows at Princeton's original Gothic Bell Tower and just behind that stands the Burr Family Barn.

A gorgeous home from the Arts and Crafts era, built 100 years ago, crafted with hardwood floors, stained glass, and a clawfoot tub. Vintage furniture and thoughtfully curated period decor, but with modern conveniences you'd expect like smart tv's in each bedroom and fiber optic WIFI. Bake a cake, or host a dinner party using the home's well appointed kitchen. Spacious bedrooms feature new queen sized beds and plenty of fresh linens and towels. When the weather is nice, stroll in the garden or have a bbq and relax on the outdoor patio.

This is a nice gem in Princeton. So much better than the tired old motels on the highway.

The Burr House really made our stay in Princeton so memorable. From learning about the history of the area and the Burr House, to relaxing on the porch, being within walking distance to everything in town and having a really nice and comfortable 'home base', we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A perfect time

A magical weekend in Princeton. We were doing some workshops for the Library and had the most beautiful time in Princeton. The home is so lovely, and tells the story of the most beautiful B.C. town Princeton. A wonderful time!

Stayed two nights in Princeton. The house was exactly as advertised. It is a cute home, nicely renovated and beautifully decorated. Lots of neat little bits of history in the house. Very centrally located in the downtown area. Everything is walkable. Beds were comfortable and house was very clean and tidy. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

We were on a 3 days ladies golf weekend. This was our third year doing that and everyone said this was yet the best place we have stayed. It is very private and has a style like no others where there are so many fantastic details in the decoration. There is even a picture frame around the thermostat so it doesn't look out of place. The fridge is narrow but we loved the 2 drawers freezer. It is well equiped in the kitchen, even oil & vinegar. The 2 bedroom upstairs has a jack and jill bathroom and with a great shower and claw tub. The last bedroom on the first floor is next to a very small but so cute bathroom. The backyard has a nice porch and a great sitting area with yard art. I also enjoyed the ecological growing in the front yard, it makes you feel like you are in a little house in the prairie. It is less then 10 min walk to Save on or Saturday market or liqueur store. We highly recomend it.
