About this property
Lakefront Paradise In Tulameen, Bc!
Large three-storey cabin on grassy, fenced half-acre with huge sandy beach and dock, ready for your vacation getaway. Five bedrooms, two baths, huge fully appointed gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors, wraparound deck, and the list goes on. A great destination for year-round holiday activities, you will find everything you need here at Coupland's Cabin.
Limited edition wildlife art by notable artists, including Robert Bateman, hangs throughout all three floors. Across from the Kettle Valley Railway/Trans Canada Trail, and only 3.5 hours from Vancouver. Otter Lake is bordered by the Cascade Mountains near the town of Princeton, in the Okanagan/Similkameen valley. The lake is approximately 5 kms long and the water is clear and fresh, fed by mountain runoff and natural spring water. The chances are good that you’ll see deer, moose, elk, black bear and maybe even a cougar. Otter Lake and other lakes in the area are home to large lake trout, kokanee and rainbow trout. Our cabin is serviced by a modern water system with excellent drinking water, tested weekly, so no need to pack gallons of water.

Top Floor:
The top floor houses the master bedroom, spread over a sunny 900 square feet, and includes the following: an ensuite with a huge jetted tub under a skylight, a walk-in shower with glass doors, double mirror vanity and a supply of towels. The bedroom’s vaulted ceiling is 14 feet high with beautiful knotty pine paneling and two ceiling fans, and the floors are engineered oak hardwood. The king size canopy bed is positioned under two skylights, and a third skylight sits above a private sitting area with leather furniture, flat screen tv with separate satellite modem and a desk. There are covered decks at the front and the back, so you can have your morning coffee in the privacy of your own lake or street overview. The laundry room is on the top floor away from the main traffic areas, with a tile floor, a washer and dryer, and includes laundry detergent, a laundry tub, ironing board and iron, skylight and plenty of room to sort laundry. There is also a private coffee station in here for the use of the master suite.
Main Floor:
The main floor features engineered hardwood floors and has an oversized gourmet kitchen which boasts a propane gas range with electric oven, side-by-side fridge and freezer with icemaker and water dispenser, dishwasher and microwave. There is a double sink at the window, and a single sink on the counter-height island, which includes four bar stools. A large dining area is beautifully situated in front of a full-height window on the lake. A large walk-in pantry holds linens, various serving pieces and assorted supplies. Also available are many small appliances, including two coffee makers (one of them upstairs), toaster, kettle, slow cookers, rice cooker, hand mixer, stand mixer, blender, Belgian waffle iron, salad spinner and a barbeque on the side deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of cutlery, dishware, beverage glasses, cook ware, serving ware of every shape and size, and even bake ware. The island includes two large, empty drawers where you can stow supplies for your stay. The large entry foyer leads to a spare bedroom with a queen size bed, dresser, bedside tables and cushioned window seat; a large main bathroom with tile floor, tub and shower combination with glass doors, twin sinks topped with a feature mirror, and a linen closet. Across from the kitchen is a spacious great room centred around a flat screen satellite tv, wood-burning wood stove (wood supplied) and large custom coffee table. A covered porch deck completely surrounds the outside of the main floor, giving additional living space regardless of the weather.
Basement:
The basement has wall-to-wall carpeting with two private bedrooms, each with large windows, queen size beds, dressers and bedside tables, and opening out to the lake with sliding glass doors. A large rec-room anchors the space, with two additional beds in the back room– both queen size – and a tv. Outside the basement doors is a huge cement patio sheltered under the upper deck, where you can sit in the shade, or out of the rain, and enjoy the lake view. The basement includes an assortment of toys and books for kids to use.
Property:
The yard is a fenced one-half acre of lawn, with a large level area at the front for bocce, badminton, Arizona golf, or just lounging around in a lawn chair. Around the back there’s a huge covered concrete patio area, always shady or protected from snow and rain, where kids can play in any weather, or senior relatives can watch the beach activities in comfort. A lower, separate deck overlooks the beach area. The beach itself is a level, sandy, huge area bordered by a rock wall, with a step down to the edge of the lake. Lots of beach chairs await you. A large dock is anchored to the rocks, where you can dock your boat, dive into the lake, cast your fishing line or kids can scoop fish with nets.
