It's a clean and good room.Just note that the Bathroom is not attached , but it is clean and only accessed by the guest.Seyi is a great host and was accomodating to my requests.

I had a comfortable stay. The room had additional facilities not initially mentioned while booking. TV, Fridge and Microwave which made my stay pleasant. Been able to come in late due to work was also great. Overall great host, clean house, responsive to questions/requests and willing to help.

Misrepresented accomodations

When I booked, the listing was titled "Quiet stay near Guelph's best", but it was anything but quiet. There was no mention of children, yet a baby cried and screamed for 3 of the 4 hours I was there. I left early because I had messaged the host that I needed a quiet place to decompress during a difficult memorial visit.I even recorded a video from inside the room with the door closed to show how loud and constant the crying was, but reviews only allow photo uploads, and visually, the room looked fine.The room was clean and nicely furnished, but the ad implied a private bathroom — it’s actually shared with the hosts. I’d been looking forward to using the bathtub for a relaxing soak, but the shared setup and less-than-clean condition made me uncomfortable and aside from poking my head in I didn't use the bathroom at all.The listing also claimed “blackout blinds,” but only had heavy curtains, which don’t function the way actual blackout blinds do. With insomnia this is important.It’s also not near much, especially without a car. The closest place was a 30-minute walk to a Tim Hortons — not exactly “Guelph’s best.”I explained that I understand babies cry and can’t be controlled, but had I known children were on the premises, I would’ve booked elsewhere. The host didn’t apologize, and I haven’t received a refund despite leaving after just 4 hours.The title has since been changed, but the listing still needs updates to accurately reflect the amenities and environment.

Thank you for your feedback, Tira. I’m very sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. I’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. The listing has always clearly stated that the bathroom is dedicated to guests, although it is not ensuite. At no point is it shared with the hosts or other guests during your stay. I’m sorry if that detail caused confusion. Regarding noise, we do our best to provide a quiet and relaxing environment, but we also live in a residential home. While children were present during your stay, we don’t list the presence of family members as our space is not shared in common areas and is in a separate part of the house. As for the curtains, they are heavy blackout-style curtains, chosen specifically to block light effectively. We understand sleep needs vary by guest, and we’ll continue to explore ways to improve the sleeping environment. Cleanliness is very important to us, and the bathroom was cleaned thoroughly before your arrival. It’s unfortunate that you didn’t use it but still felt uncomfortable. We’re always open to constructive feedback and continuously aim to improve. Thank you again for your comments, and I wish you the best in your future travels.
