We had an awesome 2 nights at Hawkestone hideaway, beautiful accommodation and the views are spectacular. Very quiet and our dogs totally loved having so much safe space to be, the walks were beautiful and a great way to tire out the pups. It was so lovely to have all the extras that were thoughtfully provided by the hosts, felt very welcome. Great travelling distance to Whanganui so easy to get the beach etc but really not a requirement as the property is just amazing. Thank you and we will definitely be back!!

Hi Kerry, you were amazing guests to host! I've never had guests who did their own cleaning, brought their own linen and towels and who were so accommodating! Thanks so much. You're welcome back anytime and I couldn't recommend you more highly to other hosts.
Frances and Gerry were welcoming hosts and what a beautiful spot to share. It was secluded - pure peace and tranquility- with a magical view from the balcony. I loved the night sky view from bed too. The added bonus of the red light therapy sauna was appreciated. A perfect few days of total relaxation - and where I would love to return to at some point.

Hi Felicity, it was a real pleasure hosting you and your little dog. You're welcome back anytime.
Beautiful place to stay. Peaceful with great views from the balcony and a walk nearby. Spotlessly clean and a great choice of breakfast provisions provided plus the infared sauna was an added bonus.Really good communication from the hosts with clear and easy directions and arrival info. Many thanks.
Beautiful quiet secluded place. Lovely host. Lots of condiments etc that were available and natural products to purchase. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Accommodation also included a sauna (which unfortunately we did not have enough time to use). Please note that the shower was over the top of a shub and as I am quite short was a tad awkward to get out of, however there was a very sturdy handrail to hold onto to assist. I would stay there again for the peace and quiet.
Wow what an absolute stunning place. We were definitely not expecting this. Out in the country with a view from our upstairs room out over the valley. Private deck area with Kereru in the trees beside us. Frances even left us with feijoas, homemade muesli, yoghurt bread, milk and spreads which was not expected. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise

Thanks so much for having us. It was so fabulous to find a dog-friendly place to stay on my trip to Wellington. The place is warm and comfortable, and the sauna was a lovely bonus!
