The apt was in an older home but it had a separate entrance. It's a quaint and quirky place and it suited our needs and budget perfectly. We enjoyed the walkability factor as it is very close to Warren Street.During our stay, there was a plumbing issue with the downstairs tenant, But the hostess was very gracious about it and made arrangements with a plumber immediately.A very pleasant stay overall. Thank you.
The property was misrepresented as two bedroom when only one. The location of the second bed does not have a door nor a closet. A desk was listed and not in the apartment. I used the apartment for remote work and needed a desk. Many of the power outlets did not work. The lamps in the bedroom with a door did not have light bulbs. When the oven and stove did not work, the owner responded 6 hours later after I notified VRBO and Evolve. She told me the stove needed to be plugged in. This required me to move the oven away from the wall and plug in the 240 V power plug. I also move the oven back to the original location. The oven did work after I plugged it in. I feel this is unreasonable to ask a guest to do.I had safety concerns because the door to the apartment could not be secured from within the apartment as it opened out into the hallway and did not have a secondary lock on the inside.

Hi Nancy, we’re sorry to hear this stay didn’t meet expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reviewing your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-The apartment is accurately shown in the listing, including photos of the second sleeping area, which is not fully enclosed. If a private second bedroom was needed, we understand this may not have been the right fit.-The property is part of a historic home, so while most outlets work properly, there can occasionally be one or two that are less reliable.-The stove was unplugged for safety reasons between guest stays and worked as soon as it was plugged in. We’re always happy to assist if guests reach out directly.-While there wasn’t a request for a desk before arrival, we do encourage future guests to ask questions to ensure the space is the right fit for their needs. Thanks again for your feedback—we’re always looking to provide a great guest experience and improve wherever we can.
