The decor is modern as shown in the listing. We were in town for a wedding, and it was a great place to come back to and unwind and relax.

Great place!
This place is awesome! I had my elderly parents with me and it was great that it's all one floor and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
We had to reach out to the host once. Got an immediate response! All the amenities you could ask for. Less than 10 minutes to downtown Roanoke. Will be staying here again in the spring!

Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
When we arrived we found kitchen chair unsafe missing bolts. Floors were dirty and sticky. Bulbs out in 2 fixtures. Dish in cabinet unclean. Drawer handle unsecured. Stale odor in home.

We want all of our guests to arrive at a home that’s clean, safe, and fully ready for their stay, so we appreciate you sharing this feedback. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they wanted to share the following:- We weren’t made aware of any concerns during your stay, but we would have gladly addressed them had we been contacted.- We’re replacing the kitchen chairs and have followed up on the other items you mentioned, including lighting, cleanliness, and general maintenance.- Your comments help us ensure the home meets the standards we expect for every guest. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review.
My family of adults ranging from 40s-80s stayed here so we would be close to local family celebrating a high school graduate. Instead of booking several hotel rooms, we opted to stay in a family home. Overall, it was a good experience and convenient to where we needed to be. The modern homey decor was a little over the top and somewhat garish, but did not deter from our visit too much as we spent most of our time out and about. The sub pump motor did wake us up the first night but was not an issue subsequent nights. My only recommendation would be instead of spending money on glitzy decor, review the house for some practical living items, such as towel bars, shower toiletry shelves (shared bath), shower grip bar, table lamps, night lights and more coffee cups. Also, I've never had to strip the beds, collect linens, take out trash and a run the dishwasher in previous rentals as you would expect these things to be covered in the cleaning fee. Again, just some constructive criticism, nothing that should deter future guests! Thank you!
