We had a challenging experience while staying at this beautiful property. Upon arrival we discovered that this house did not have 3 bathrooms as listed (this has now been corrected on the website) it has 2 1/2 bathrooms. This was a critical factor in deciding on this place for our family of six adults.Also the toilet in the ensuite bathroom of the master bedroom didn't work. The living room fireplace also didn't work. In addition if there is a rainstorm the path from the gate to the front door becomes flooded with a 5 X 3 foot and 5 inch deep "pond" that we needed to wade through with luggage or when coming and going from the house. We contacted Meredith Lodging, about the fireplace and the toilet immediately after we arrived and their maintenance person did come out. However he couldn't get the fireplace to work. In addition while he fixed the toilet so it at least flushed the flapper valve still wasn't working properly so the toilet ran off and on through each night of our stay and completely disturbed our sleep. We tried to connect management about all of this several times during our stay and also over a few weeks from our departure and management never responded to our emails or calls. Finally we received a response via email that they were refunding 6.7% lf what we paid. I have no idea how Meredith Lodging arrived at this nominal amount. It's unfortunate. I hope the owner knows. And more unfortunate that Meredith Lodging is so poorly managed.
