Comfortable place

We were in Hood River for work and I found this place. Such a nice place to come back to after a long day of work.

This was a nice spot in Hood River for our party of 6. We enjoyed the deck with the dining table and BBQ with a very nice view and the hot tub on the 2nd smaller deck. The interior is older and a bit tired, but had it's charm. An area that could be improved on is the living room seating. There wasn't quite encough space on the couch and loveseat for all six of us without feeling tight. We brought a couple folding camping chairs which we needed to be more comfortable. Also, I believe the couch is a futon and the cushion was pretty worn/flat in spots and you sat low to the ground and far back. We had some older people who found the couch too difficult to get out of and couldn't use it. It could have been an oversight, but there wasn't a sponge of dish washing cloth for cleaning up the kitchen and hand washing dishes. We had to use paper towels for all the kitchen cleaning. Other than these areas we found the house comfortable and great for our family weekend.

Close to town - it’s walkable, but note it’s a steep uphill return trip. It’s not a fancy house, but we knew that going in, and it was clean and worked great for what we needed. We briefly saw and chatted with the owner one time, and he was very pleasant and willing to help if there were any issues.

Mostly Good, A Couple Improvements

The house was wonderful on paper. Views, amenities, spacious, and overall vibe. We had some issues mainly with the shower slow drain/standing water. It’s very close/walking distance, but there is a pretty steep hill to walk back up to house.

Everything was fine but house layout a bit odd

Pros-clean-nice location -three rooms and two pull out couches-outdoor patio- street parking but plenty of space-pet friendlyCons- odd layout-small living room and kitchen-shower was tough to figure out -washer and dryer located in basement and had to walk down a little hill to get to
