Shelly, thanks so much for the positive review and kind words. We're so glad you liked our house and had a good experience. Thank you for being our guests.
We stayed here while in town for a gymnastics meet. It was perfectly located, close to LSU and the River Center. The home is spacious, clean, and well furnished. We didn’t end up bringing our dog, but there’s a great set up with a gate blocking the back hallway so a dog could be corralled. The kitchen has everything you would need and then some, including a little pantry of seasonings and other assorted items. There’s both a regular coffee maker and an espresso maker in the kitchen, and there’s even a small room upstairs with a table/chairs, coffee maker and mini-fridge. There are lots of thoughtful touches - like providing black washcloths for removing makeup. There’s a washer/dryer in case you need to do laundry. The owner was very communicative and helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!!

The right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The home is an older property with historic character, and many of its original features are intentionally preserved for guests who appreciate that style.- We understand that the age of the home and its features may not be the right fit for every guest, and we’re sorry it wasn’t the experience you were hoping for.- We are reviewing the concerns noted regarding the backyard and door knobs and will be making improvements to ensure everything is functioning properly for future stays.Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — guest input helps us continue improving the experience for future travelers.

The house suited most of our needs. The host was there when we arrived - why I don’t know. There are 5 steps down to one of the bedrooms and bathrooms plus the back door, but no handrail. I’m recovering from foot surgery and no handrail made it very difficult. Also, the house needed a good cleaning. We even found a pill on the floor upstairs! Dishwasher had to be lifted to close, refrigerator leaked and was difficult to close and there were no dish towels or dish cloths in the kitchen. Also, there were no inside locks on the front or back door. Anyone could have entered the code and come on in when we were there.
