About the host
Hosted by Russ and Sandy
Hi! I'm Sandy—Russ’ wife and your main point of contact for your stay. I usually handle our vacation rentals and love connecting with fellow travelers.
We've been hosting guests for over 20 years and feel lucky to have welcomed so many wonderful people and families—some of whom have returned time and again! Sharing local tips or ensuring you’re comfortable, we genuinely enjoy making your stay special.
Russ is semi-retired and teaches the Capstone Course at UBCO in Kelowna. He also mentors tech startups—his version of retirement includes staying curious and involved!
My career journey has been a blend of hospitality and communications. I’ve owned and operated several B&Bs and vacation rentals over the years. Before that, I worked in marketing communications, trade shows, and technical editing for high-tech companies in California.
We both love to travel and explore this beautiful planet. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or soaking in the views of a desert, lake or ocean, we’re always up for a new adventure.
We’ve been fortunate to stay in memorable places—from cozy B&Bs to sleek resorts—and we’ve never forgotten the kindness of our hosts. That spirit of hospitality inspires how we welcome our own guests today.
Russ is passionate about waterskiing (I drive), snow skiing, boating, biking, hiking, and all things tech. I’m an amateur photographer with a love for storytelling through images. I once photographed winemakers across California and BC, and now I enjoy creating custom photo books and digital media projects to help others preserve their memories.
We absolutely love our home here in Lake Country, BC. We call it The Skipping Stone—a peaceful, scenic place to relax and recharge. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy sharing it. Take lots of photos, collect souvenirs, jot down favorite moments… and if you’d like a keepsake photo book of your trip, let me know—I’d be delighted to design one for you.
Warm wishes,
Sandy & Russ

Why they chose this property
Our wonderful semi-lakefront community offers some of the best lake and mountain views in the Okanagan. The area offers many year 'round outdoor activities and scenic drives.
What makes this property unique
First and foremost are the panoramic views.
After that...make yourself comfortable! Our furnishings are meant to be lived in.
Our property is also unique because of the cooking and baking ingredients and the counter top appliances we make available to our guests.
Decoratively, to the eye, the most unique aspect of our home is the stained glass. The stained glass lampshades will be put away, however, we invite you to enjoy the stained glass pictures and clocks. Each piece was made by my father-in-law, Harvey Fields.
Some of my photography is also on display, as are a few vintage posters.
