The Space:
One of the few true 1-bedroom condos in the Grand Lodge, on the 3rd floor of the East building with elevator access — no stairs with the gear.
➔ Bedroom: Two queen beds with a private ensuite full bathroom — a real bedroom with a door.
➔ Living room: A queen Murphy bed folds down at night, so all six sleep comfortably.
➔ Bathrooms: Two full bathrooms.
➔ Kitchen & dining: Kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, mini fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, and bar-top counter, plus a separate dining area. No oven.
➔ Building amenities: Indoor/outdoor heated pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center, and a fireplace lobby.
3 Pros:
+ Under a 5-minute walk to the lifts — ski or bike from the door, past a coffee shop and restaurants.
+ Heated indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, and steam room for after the slopes.
+ A true 1-bedroom with two full baths that sleeps 6 — rare in the Grand Lodge.
2 Cons:
- No A/C — at 9,375 ft the nights cool off and it's rarely missed. No in-unit washer/dryer.
- The pool, hot tub, and steam room are run by the building's HOA and can occasionally close for maintenance without notice.
Guest Access:
You have the entire condo to yourself, plus full access to the Grand Lodge's shared amenities: the indoor/outdoor heated pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center, and fireplace lobby. There's an elevator to the 3rd floor, on-site ski storage, EV charging, and one free outdoor parking pass per unit. Check in yourself anytime with the keypad code — there's no front desk at the Grand Lodge, but we respond quickly by message. Shared amenities are operated by the building's HOA and can occasionally close for maintenance.
The Neighborhood:
You're at the base of Mt. Crested Butte — under a 5-minute walk to the lifts, with a coffee shop, ski-storage shop, and restaurants on the way. The base village puts shops and dining right outside the door. Historic downtown Crested Butte (Elk Avenue) is about a 7-minute drive or a free shuttle ride away, with galleries, restaurants, and Old West storefronts. Summer means hiking, mountain biking, and wildflowers; winter is ski-in convenience.
Getting Around:
You don't need a car here — the lifts, coffee, and restaurants are all within a short walk. A free town shuttle runs between the mountain base and historic downtown Crested Butte (about 7 minutes). If you do drive, your unit comes with one free outdoor parking pass, and there's EV charging on-site. The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 45-minute drive; Denver is roughly 4 hours.
Other Things to Note:
- Check-in after 4:00 PM / checkout before 10:00 AM, keypad self check-in.
- Sleeps 6 max: 2 queens in the bedroom, 1 queen Murphy bed in the living room.
- No A/C and no in-unit washer/dryer. No oven (kitchenette has a cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher).
- Not pet friendly — the HOA does not allow pets on the 3rd floor.
- Pool, hot tub, steam room, and fitness center are run by the building's HOA and can close for maintenance without notice.
- CO and smoke alarms and a fire extinguisher are installed.
- Colorado STR license #309362.
Interaction with Guests:
Check-in is self-serve with your keypad code, so you can arrive on your own schedule — no front desk to coordinate with. We're a message away before and during your stay and reply quickly (our guests consistently mention how easy and responsive communication is). Want local recommendations or help arranging ski/bike storage with our partner Butte & Co at the base? Just ask.

Great location for skiing. Kitchen only has one electric burner which makes cooking challenging. Ski storage was a bit confusing. Pool and hot tub are great.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the location, pool, and hot tub. We appreciate your notes about the kitchen and ski storage and will keep them in mind for future improvements.
This was perfect for my family of 4 (two adults, two teen boys). It was great having two full bathrooms. We cooked and ate most of our meals in the condo. I had to get a little creative with just one burner to cook on, but we did quesadillas, tacos, chili, etc. The kitchen needs a few things to make it easier to cook (strainer/colander, paring knife, new can opener) but we were able to make do. The location to the base area and slopes is phenomenal! It took only about 5 minutes to walk to the bottom of Red Lady chairlift. Being a corner unit, we even had a view of the slopes and chairlift! We would definitely stay here again!

Thank you! I’m so glad it worked well for your family and that you enjoyed the location and views. I appreciate the kitchen suggestions and hope to host you again
Location is fantastic and place was great. Pool was a little yucky - too warm and cloudy. Hot tub was so hot one day no one could get in it.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked the location and place. Sorry about the pool and hot tub—I'll pass this along so we can get it sorted. Appreciate you letting me know!
We booked this condo last-minute and were pleasantly surprised. The condo was spacious, clean and the beds (including the murphy bed) were very comfortable. The host responded quickly to mesaages and the rate was reasonable. Our only complaint is that it would be nice if there were condiments for the coffee included (only had some coffee/pods and a few packets of sweet & low) but since the Coffee Lab is a very short walk away, it was all good. Love the vibe of Crested Butte as well as the CB Mountain Resort area. Very low-key, mellow, and gorgeous. The pool and hot tub were nice but not very relaxing as there were a few very large groups causing a ruckus, even at 9:30pm. Best time for the pool and hot tub seems to be the morning before all the families and big groups get there.

I’m so glad the condo worked out for your last-minute trip and that you enjoyed the space, comfy beds, and location! Thanks for the feedback about the coffee condiments. The pool and hot tub weren’t as relaxing in the evening, but sounds like mornings were a nice time to enjoy them. Really appreciate you staying with us!
