About the host
Hosted by Yan Zheng

Having grown up across different countries, I love meeting people from all walks of life. I'm into sports, music, and crafting the perfect cup of coffee (still chasing it). Hosting gives me the chance to connect, swap perspectives, and maybe even discover a new favorite song or coffee method thanks to you.
Why they chose this property
During the pandemic, I spent nearly two years exploring Tokyo by bicycle, riding through countless neighborhoods, taking photos, and trying to truly understand what it feels like to live like a local. That journey became a kind of personal research project—I wanted to find a place that felt authentic, comfortable, and inspiring.
I’ve experienced both ends of Tokyo life: from living in a luxury high-rise in the city center to staying in quiet suburban areas. After a long period of searching, I finally found this brand-new home in a neighborhood that perfectly balances the energy of city life with the calm of a local, residential community.
What I love most is how peaceful and safe the area is, while still offering easy access to shops, public transport, and cultural sites. It has the charm of everyday Tokyo—friendly neighbors, cozy cafes, local parks—without the overwhelming crowds.
This neighborhood makes it easy to slow down and really experience Tokyo beyond the tourist spots. It’s the kind of place where you can take a morning walk, hear birds instead of sirens, and still hop on a train and be in the city center in minutes.

What makes this property unique
This home was built by a real estate company known for carefully balancing design, functionality, and location. They chose a quiet, residential area with convenient access to central Tokyo, and used high-quality materials to create homes that feel both stylish and livable. The layout is thoughtfully planned—open, comfortable, and practical for real life.
What makes this space truly unique, though, is how it's been furnished and cared for. I didn’t just fill the house all at once—I added furniture and decor slowly, piece by piece, choosing items that truly suit the space. Some pieces took over a year to find. I believe that kind of attention gives the home a warm, curated feel that guests can really sense and enjoy.
It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a home that’s been lived in, appreciated, and intentionally designed to feel welcoming, peaceful, and inspiring.
