Whispering Oaks Cottage on Cable Lake is a spacious 4 Bed/3 Bath home on 90-acre Cable Lake, a peaceful no-motor lake located in Sister Lakes, Michigan. We offer 2 level living with a private sandy beach lakefront! All you need to do is come and relax!

Enjoy this cottage with 2 level living, central air and heating, and stunning lake views! Only 2 hours from Chicago, 40 minutes from South Bend and 25 minutes from St. Joe’s. This home sleeps up to 10, ideally up to 6 adults max with some flex.

Not just a summer rental - Come unwind and getaway to join us for Winter! Ice Fishing, Snowmobiling, Skiing, Sledding, and Firepits! Words cannot describe how beautiful it is!

Starting in June through August rentals are weekly Sunday - Sunday only. Off peak dates are 3-night minimums. Check-in after 4:00pm on Sunday and checkout out prior to 10:00am on Sunday. Off season is a minimum of 3 nights. Message me for flexibility with check-in/check-out times for off peak rentals!

The lower-level walk-out allows full access to the lake (steps down) where you can head out to the swim platform, immerse yourself in excellent fishing off the pier or explore the lake on the included 3 kayaks, paddle boat, and rowboat. Or, just sit at the picnic table or Adirondack chairs by the firepit and relax. This quiet, clean, no motor lake is perfect for stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, pedal boating, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, and swimming. Enjoy any of the other 6 lakes all within minutes - boat rentals are available through local vendors.

In addition to the lake activities and relaxing there are many other things to do like golfing, visiting the drive-in movie theater, apple picking, local farm stands, snow skiing, ice fishing, snow mobile trails, Casinos, and the Southwest Michigan wine trail. Sister Lakes area has the famous Driftwood Ice Cream Parlor, Sister Lakes Brewery, The Strand Restaurant, and 5 Mile Drive-In Movie Theatre.
