We’re a couple who fell in love with the natural beauty of Cape Breton. We enjoy exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and creating welcoming spaces for others. Hosting gives us the chance to share our cozy cottage and help guests feel at home while discovering the magic of the Cabot Trail.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighbourhood because it offers the perfect mix of peaceful nature and convenient access to local gems. Located along the scenic Cabot Trail, we’re surrounded by beaches, trails, and beautiful views—and just minutes from unique, locally owned spots.

We love grabbing healthy goods from The Other Cupboard Emporium, browsing handmade items at Leather Works by Jolene, and enjoying treats from Cabotto Chocolates. For a relaxing meal or coffee, Clucking Hen Café, Simply Pizza, and Cabot Shores Bistro are our go-to favourites. There’s also Glass Artisan Studio for beautiful glass art.

Whether it’s the peaceful sound of the brook, friendly neighbours, or the ease of exploring Cape Breton Highlands, this area truly feels like home. Every season offers something different, and we love sharing it with our guests.

What makes this property unique

The White Pine Cottage is your home away from home on the World Famous Cabot Trail, surrounded by trees and the soothing sound of a brook right on the property. What makes it truly special is the balance it offers—close to hiking trails, beaches, and local shops, yet tucked away enough to feel calm and private. With all the essentials for a cozy stay, beautiful views year-round, and thoughtful touches throughout, it’s a place where guests can slow down, reconnect with nature, and feel right at home.
