About this property

Moose Tracks Inn: Family Friendly and Wheelchair Accessible.

This cabin was designed with families in mind, and you will have room to spread out in this spacious newer cabin with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Large kitchen, dining room, and great room with gas fireplace opens onto inviting deck with BBQ. Two car garage has wheelchair ramp into house, and master bath has roll-in shower, and all of main floor and deck are wheelchair accessible. Spacious family room downstairs also has gas fireplace and internet TV, DVD and VCR (but if you're going to Island Park to watch TV, you're going for the wrong reason ;). Bonus room upstairs is the perfect get-away spot for the kids to play. Study downstairs is ideal for someone needing quiet, or those who don't sleep at night. Fire pit and benches are great for outdoor gatherings, and the Island boat launch is only 1000 feet from the cabin, so bring your water toys or fishing poles.

There are many things to do in the area within a short distance, so come enjoy what nature has to offer in all seasons. Island Park is a fisherman’s paradise, and Henry’s Fork of the Snake River has been called the best trout stream in the lower 48. Henry’s Lake is also well known for its fishing, but there are also lots of small rivers and streams to try out. Summers are beautiful here for boating and other watersports, hiking, horseback riding, riding ATVs, golfing, and tennis, and Yellowstone is only 30 miles away. Wintertime is magical in Island Park with an average annual snowfall of 192 inches. There are close to 1000 miles of groomed trails for snow machines, as well as cross country skiing. Heated garage is ideal for snowmobiles, and wet winter clothes. Downhill skiing at Grand Targhee resort is 1 1/2 hours away. Or just come do some sightseeing and enjoy the beauties of nature.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
You do not strip the beds (except for the sofa sleeper). Please do some basic cleaning: put the toys away in the bonus room, fold up the sleeping mats, and start the first load of towels in the wash.
Please check that both thermostats are off in the bonus room and both fireplaces are turned off.
If used, clean the gas grill and ensure sure the gas is turned off. Replace the covers on the patio furniture, and secure the fire pit items. Be sure the outside hose is turned off at the spigot.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please remove shoes upon entering.
No smoking on the property, including vaping. No open flames including candles.
No parking on the road or other properties. We are trying to encourage the natural vegetation to grow, so please only park in designated areas.

We stayed at Moose tracks inn with our family and it was wonderful! The cabin is clean, roomy and surrounded by gorgeous nature! We enjoyed close areas for kayaking, hiking and swimming and also Yellowstone! Highly recommend staying here!

Family Reunion Fun

This was perfect for a Family Reunion, fun for ages 2 to 62! Got to tell stories around the fire, play games and get challenged finding Moose . Was a bit tricky to find lake access but we found it and enjoyed a beautiful day on the water. A quick drive to Yellowstone, would definitely stay again!

Perfect getaway for our family

The cabin was ideal for our family of 13. The living space was perfect for all of us to sit down to a meal or play a game together. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans and a few essentials, and the cabin was very clean. We loved our time there.

Ron and Bonnie Peterson live in Pleasant Grove, UT, but both hail from Idaho. Ron spent a lot of time in Island Park as a youth and we have brought our children and grandchildren here for vacations for the past 45 years.

Why they chose this property

We built this cabin for our family, with yours in mind. We designed it for a group to enjoy with large spaces where they can gather for games, eating, or just visiting. The bathrooms were designed to accommodate multiple people at a time. The bedrooms are roomy and allow space for all the “stuff” we bring with us on vacation.

What makes this property unique

We became aware from several friends that finding lodging for those in wheelchairs was difficult. Our cabin main floor and deck are wheelchair accessible so that everyone in your group can enjoy their visit.
