Pohutukawa Cottage - the perfect spot for a relaxing break on Waiheke Island

Pohutukawa Cottage is a lovingly renovated, character cottage - the perfect spot for a relaxing break on Waiheke Island.  Curl up on the super comfortable couch & watch a movie with a glass of wine, or sit & enjoy the sunset from the lovely outdoor couch!  

The cottage has a well-equipped modern kitchen and an open plan living area, which has a large smart TV, a sonos sound system and a heatpump/air con unit this is a great house in summer or winter.  French doors open from the living room onto a large covered verandah, with super comfortable outdoor furniture.  There is also a further deck between the house & the sleepout which has outdoor dining & a BBQ.

Off the living room is the master bedroom with walk in wardrobe, as well as the bathroom.  Across the deck is the sleepout, which has a Queen bed. Both beds are super comfortable and dressed with premium linen.  

The cottage is ideally located close to Oneroa and minutes away from fabulous beaches, wineries & award winning restaurants!

Note that there is an additional dwelling further down the property with a private courtyard which may be tenanted.

Amazing stay!

Pictures don’t do it justice! This home was absolutely amazing. The amenities were up to date and so handy and the view was a bonus. Loved staying here!

Excellent refuge!

We loved our stay here at the end of our honeymoon in NZ. Very nicely appointed, super comfortable bed, great bathroom, Sonos sound system. About a 30 min walk to Oneroa, which we didn’t mind, and close to bus stops that can take you all over the island more quickly. Highly recommend!

Really nice

We enjoyed our two night stay. A lovely, clean and modern space. We hired a car from the ferry terminal but we could have also used the bus stop right outside. There is a tiny sea view but the real thing is only a short walk away.

This property is gorgeous . Lovely spacious balcony overlooking the water in the distance. Beautiful furnishings. Comfortable bed. Great location in between Onetangi and Oneroa. Lovely for a few days away. Many thanks.

Weekend with Besties before Elton

A great wee cottage. Very comfortable. Everything new and fresh. Great space under verandah to sit. It is a great space for a couple but was a stretch for 4 with only one shower/toilet . Inside air conditioning great. Outside sleepout was very hot. Mesh on windows needed for Mosquitoes or a net or aircon essential in sleep out in the heat of the summer. Was a great stay. Thanks.
