- Guest Access
Guests have Access to the entire house and yard.
Guests will not have access to the storeroom next to the carport, or the sheds out the back.
- Neighborhood
A quiet but friendly neighbourhood, located 2.5hrs South East of Melbourne.
Walkerville is balanced between permenant residences and Holiday homes, which you will find the village and Caravan Parks filled with friendly faces over the summer months!
Walkerville has two settlements, separated by a steep cliff. Walkerville North boasts picturesque views toward Wilsons Promontory with good swimming, surfing and fishing spots, and easy-to-access to camp sites. As the tide retreats, rock pools are revealed along the rocky shoreline.
Walkerville South has a beautiful half-moon beach, great for swimming, especially with young kids. The beach is bookended by rock pools, and giant rocks and caves for clambering. Remnants of the lime kilns can be seen from the beach. This beautiful beach was the inspiration for the much-loved children's classic, Magic Beach by Alison Lester.
You are a 15 minute drive to local favoutite, Waratah Bay Beach, similarly Sandy Point patrolled Surf Beach. A 17 minute drive to the Artsy village of Fish Creek for cafes, galleries, pub + rail trail. A short 20 minute drive away are wineries such as Waratah Hills or Gurneys Cidery. Wilsons Prom is also just a striking distance away for day trips with your family.
- Getting Around
Walkerville is great for walking or biking around, but if you wish to access the beach, a car is best suited to travel down the hill to the foreshore, or around to the Walkerville south beach. Keep in mind, parking at the Walkerville south beach is limited, with one lane road access. If the tide is out, locals recomend to park at the boat ramp, and walk between the cliffs to the swimming spot. If you have bikes, these are the best way to explore the area.
To explore the area, transport is essential!
