THE BUILDING
Situated in a hilly, quiet and residential area, with spacious and pleasant views, it also offers lovely walks along roads with little traffic, lined with villas and gardens.
Nature lovers will be enraptured by the birdsong that brightens every moment of the day.
In the house, two beautiful, high-quality single rooms, with a shared bathroom and a private fridge, perfect for two guests, each staying in a single cozy bedroom.
The classic Italian style furnishings include a vertical piano and a small library with books in different languages.
In the outdoor areas, under a patio, a ping pong and a table for dining with friends.
Every aspect of the house has been designed to be comfortable and pleasant to discover.
THE ROOMS
Each room has WiFi, a table with a chair for using a computer, a built-in wardrobe, and a chest of drawers.
Towels and additional blankets for each person are located in their built-in wardrobe.
The windows are protected by sun blinds and blackout curtains.
All rooms have ceiling fans.
The "Red Room" has a cond as well.
CHILDREN
Are welcome! A cot/crib, with small and soft toys is available.
EATING AND KITCHEN USE
Guests can bring their meals but, to avoid attracting nasty insects in the bedrooms, they must eat them only in the dining room. For hygiene issues, the kitchen is not available, but Silvia is happy to prepare a morning breakfast, and eventually a meal upon agreement and specific requests.
LAUNDRY USE
If necessary, Silvia, once a week, will wash guest's items and line them in a sunny place.
DISABLED PEOPLE
The bedrooms have easy access form the entrance, but there are steps to the dining room.
For this reason, unfortunately, the house is not suitable for people with disabilities.
PETS
Pets are welcome, as long as their owner do not leave them alone in the bedrooms or loose in the garden. Outside the property there are plenty of free green areas for everyone.
QUEENSLAND STYLE GUIDED TOURS WORTH A VISIT
Silvia is pleased to tell guests about the history of Ipswich and eventually to bring them in a walking tour of some places of cultural interest.
Queensland architecture is Australia's most iconic architectural style and worth a visit.
Its beautiful distinct and unique type of residential housing, is widespread in Ipswich.
Homes are typically "tripartite" in sectional composition defining characteristic of the Queenslander type:
- underfloor (stumps), often used as protection for houses in flood prone areas;
- main living areas of the house (can be two levels), with one or more veranda spaces, built typically for climate,
- the roof is a large and visible, and was traditionally steeply pitched, of varied materials, including slate and tiles, but most characteristically sheeted with corrugated steel. The steel roofs could withstand torrential rains and be reused if damaged by cyclonic winds
