150' direct waterfront on the Niantic River, located in Saunders Point. Niantic is mid-way between New York and Boston. Panoramic views with private beach, access to deep water dock and private swimming pool. Enjoy beach, boating, fishing and swimming at your doorstep. Bring your own personal water craft to enjoy the river or rent at the marina, walking distance away.

Three floors, with main floor en suite master, two bedrooms and office with futon and full bath on second floor along with finished basement bedroom and lounge area. Sleeps 8-10 privately, 10 total. Open floor plan living room, dining room and kitchen. Half bath on main floor.

Large patio area and deck surround the pool. Large side yard. Enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the sunrise. Dine alfresco in the evening and watch the moon rise over the river.

Yard games, books and board games for the whole family.

Within 2 miles of downtown Niantic - with shops, restaurants and the Niantic Bay Boardwalk. Close to two local casinos, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, Block Island Ferry, Clinton and Westbrook Outlets, Essex Steam Train, Goodspeed Opera House, Ivoryton Play House, RiverQuest Cruises and so much more.

Perfect weekend

Barbara was great very quick at responding. Location was center of everything we did. Pool and deck was relaxing just watching the boats and enjoying the water. Would definitely go back there.

Great location! Pool was added bonus

The house itself was clean and spacious, and is clearly cared for by the owner. The included amenities provided everything we needed, from beach towels to tools for our lobster night! The pool was a huge hit with the kids and they enjoyed taking the walk to the private beach and small playground. Overall it was a great week even with a few rainy days. We will definitely come back!

Again...Fabulous

Spectacular both indoors and out. Great location if you want to be active on the water, tennis courts, hiking or biking- or if you just want to chill with a beverage and enjoy the view of the river.

Nice property , wonderful host

The property had just been rained on for many days. It was hard to see the outside for a bit. After the a few days we realized how beautiful the property was. It is something that should be enjoyed in warmer months to fully get the effect of it. We usually rent on the ocean, this was different, nice different, you kinda watch all the boats and shenanigans of the people going out on the water. I greatly appreciated the attention to detail; foil , baggies, sponge, soap…ect. I have rented many properties on the water and most do not have those necessities. We left the house as we found it if not better, that’s what all renters should do, treat it as if it is your own

Family friendly home with a beautiful view

We had a wonderful stay at Barb's home. It was exactly as described and extremely clean! The kids had a wonderful time in the pool which was kept clean and in order throughout the week. You can tell she took every little detail into consideration, down to the handwritten welcome note... it really felt like we were staying with family. She was super helpful and responsive and we'd gladly stay again.

We had another wonderful vacation at this special house!

This house is an absolute must for anyone looking to have a family vacation filled with fun and memories. This has been our third year at this wonderful property and to say we enjoyed ourselves is an understatement. The pool is gorgeous, the view is spectacular, and the house is clean, spacious, and beautiful. Barbara is an exceptional host who provides everything you could possibly need and more! Perfect Getaway!

This house has everything you need to have a relaxing, fun-filled stay with family or friends. The house, property, and pool are immaculate. The house is spacious, filled with sunlight, and extremely well stocked. Barbara is responsive and very helpful. This was our second year coming as a family, and we rebooked again for next year! Great Family Vacation

Welcoming both inside and out, this home is spacious, loaded with games, entertainment, and comfortable seating for 10 people with breathtaking views of the Niantic River. The pool, deck, and boathouse deck are the perfect place to hang out and reconnect. Barbara answered all questions promptly and the community area offers even more in outdoor entertainment. Location, location, location

We spent a week at this property with family visiting from Montana. They loved the tidal river views and the crabs they found right at the little beach. The swimming pool got a big lot of use and the pool toys did fine. The grassy yard beside the house was plenty big for a Wiffle Ball tournament.Parking was adequate for our three smallish cars, and when family from Connecticut came to visit, onstreet parking was easy. Linens and towels were plentiful and in good condition, as were the dishes and pots and pans. The kitchen appliances and washer and dryer were in good working order. Tuesday garbage pickup went smoothly.The house is no more than 10 minutes from a nice Stop and Shop and a bunch of very enjoyable restaurants. (We recommend Fat Tuna and the Flanders Fish Market and the very informal Skipper's, along with Gumdrops and Lollipops and the local Dairy Queen.)We invested in passes to the Waterford Town Beach (20 minutes distant), a lovely Soundfront location, although the nearby Hole-in-the-Wall Beach would have done us well.Our only complaints were a very soft mattress in the master suite and some ants in the kitchen.

Another amazing vacation!

For myself and my family it is our favorite week of the year! We rented this house last year got it again for this year and also have it for next year! It is absolutely heaven! We are a big group. 8 1/2 people. And there’s so much space to relax read a book or have a champagne pool party! We just left and we all cannot wait till next year!

GREAT stay!

Our family had a fantastic time at this property! The view was absolutely outstanding from all of the rooms. We particularly enjoyed cooking and baking together in the spacious kitchen and then eating meals together at one of the many tables both inside and outside. We also had a great time sitting out on the deck over the boathouse and catching up with each other while sipping the Prosecco and snacking on the Brie and crackers the hosts so graciously left for us. The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, Barbara! We truly enjoyed our stay!

Great family vacation

Days on the river and in the great pool were an outstanding setting for our family of four teenagers and six adults. We brought a kayak which is easily stored on the beach next to the house. There is no deep mooring available for a larger boat so we had to rent a slip from a local marina for the week. The house had everything we needed; tons of bath and beach towels, fully stocked kitchen with many spices, comfortable gathering spaces and good air conditioning. Thank you for offering this wonderful vacation experience.

Perfect getaway

We really enjoyed our vacation. We came all the way from Washington State to visit my BFF who lives in Rhode Island. We really had a wonderful time. Another great summer!

This is the third year we’ve rented and it feels like home now. A Very amazing home with a very amazing view and pool. The last two years we never wanted to leave. Ate almost all our meals looking out at the water or on the deck of the pool. This year we did venture out to a few museums and a restaurant or two, but we didn’t stray far. We had a one and a half year old with us this year and he loved the little strip of sand at the waters edge. thank you again Barbara for a wonderful week!

Overall good experience with exceptions

Everything was great except for the following: Jets on upstairs tub very moldy; although we cleaned them used downstairs tub to bathe kids. Downstairs bathroom also had mold. Outside all wooden railings and stairs in desperate need of upgrade. Luckily our son in law was not severely hurt when 2 steps of stairway going to the water let go. Fireplace Has very strong odor; probably needs cleaning.

River View House

My husband and I shared this house with our adult children and a few of their friends. There was ample room for all of us. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with plenty of all the necessary items. Our favorite spot was the large swimming pool. There is plenty of pool side seating and also a nice yard for outdoor games. The pool faces the river and this is also the view from the the dining area and bedrooms. It is an absolutely beautiful view.. There is a nice deck that juts out over the river. I highly recommend this house for a fun and relaxing vacation spot. The owner gives a lot of attention to detail and comfort. She responds readily to questions and concerns. We loved the welcome basket filled with snacks and the bottle of wine chilling in the frig. We will definitely come back!

A gem on the Niantic river

This property is simply beautiful, a good size 3 stories house up on a hill nested on the shores of the Niantic river. It has space with nice hardwood floors and is tastefully furnished. The are 4 full bedrooms spread out on the 3 floors and 2 studio-type enclosed areas for privacy of work. The wiFi is terrific, I was able to make a 2 hr meeting presentation for an international meeting held in Israel without a glitch. The kitchen is large and has everything one needs. Every room has this spectacular view of the river and the shore across, there is a big balcony, the view truly is soothing to the soul. It has a pool facing the river but it was closed as we came in late October. We spent 4 days here this week just enjoying our little grand babies who live in New Haven. Barb the owner was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. I will return here no doubt in the future. Truly a gem.

Vacation at the River House

The house is situated in a very scenic location. Large windows that span the width of the house afford you a lovely view of the Niantic river along with lively boating activity. Up close to the house you have a nice view of a huge inground pool with a well furnished patio surrounding it. Inside you will find all the amenities needed for comfort in each room. Comfortable couches and a big screen tv in the livingroom. Plenty of seating in the dining room and nice appliances in the kitchen. Lots of cooking utensils ,dishes, glassware and eating utensils. The bathrooms have plenty of towels and there are beach towels too. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have closets and dressers. Of course you will stay nice and cool with A/C through out the house. I can go on and on but you can read about all the amenities online. The house is lovely and roomy. This was my second stay at the river house with family and friends. Everyone wished that we could have stayed longer and everyone wants to come back! Thank you Barb!! Lydia Southington Ct.

A family tradition

Our family has been visiting this beautiful retreat for the last three years, and every year we love it more. Barb is a wonderful host, attending to our every need and even anticipating needs with thoughtful additions to the amenities each year. This is no zombie rental that was clearly set up with short-term rentals in mind (you know the ones ... bare minimum supplies and furniture from a big box store). This is a family home, with everything a family would want for a getaway. Pool toys? Check. Lawn games? Check. Loads of linens? Check. Board games? Yep. Cookout supplies? You bet. Bedside device chargers, Alexas, outdoor speakers? Okay, you get the idea. And the location can't be beat. This has come to feel like our second home, and we can't wait to go back!
