Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay, particularly as we were attending the funeral of an immediate family member. After travelling 8.5 hours, check in was delayed by 45 minutes. We appreciated a later checkout. The advertised garage parking was unavailable as it was filled with storage. Other issues included collapsed trampoline poles posing a hazard to children, an unkempt yard, a non functional washing machine containing previous guests’ linen, and a blocked bathroom sink.The outside bins were overflowing, with a strong smell and no room for our rubbish. The Wi-Fi password provided did not work, and the walls were visibly dirty throughout.Most concerningly, explicit content appeared on the television when the children searched for a movie, disappointing for a family friendly stay.Although staff were friendly and attempted to assist, managing these issues while grieving added unnecessary stress. I have contacted MadeComfy and await a resolution. I have also disputed a cleaning charge for the washing machine, which reportedly flooded after our departure. It was non functional, with no signs of leaking during our stay. This was communicated by phone and we agreed a technician was to attend after we left. The house and location had great potential, but the issues fell below our expectations. We would not book again.
