About this property
Riverfront Townhouse with Detroit Skyline Views, Steps to Waterfront Trail
A riverfront stay on Windsor's most photographed stretch of the Detroit River, with the city skyline directly across the water. The waterfront trail starts right in front of the door, perfect for a morning jog or evening stroll.
Whip up easy meals in the fully equipped kitchen. WiFi is fast and reliable, supporting the second bedroom, which works as an office or sleeping quarters.
Minutes to The Keg, Ambassador Bridge, and downtown Windsor.
The Detroit River runs right outside the front of this stay, and the skyline across it is one of the most photographed in North America.
Mornings start with the sun coming up over the city and the water turning gold, the kind of light that makes the first cup of coffee last twice as long.
By afternoon, the sun shifts onto the river itself, and after dark, the lights of Detroit come on across the water — the Renaissance Center, the bridges, the freight ships moving slowly toward Lake Erie.
The waterfront trail begins right at the front of the property and runs for miles in both directions. People come from across the region to walk this stretch, and from here it is yours for the length of the stay — a real morning run before the day starts, an evening walk after dinner, or somewhere to take the camera when the light is doing something worth photographing.
Inside, the unit lives across two levels. The main floor is bright and uncluttered, with the living area, kitchen, and dining nook sharing the same open footprint, so even a longer stay never starts to feel small.
Upstairs, two bedrooms sit side by side — the primary with two windows and room-darkening curtains for sleep that lasts past sunrise, and the second a quiet space that works just as well for travelers keeping different schedules, a small family with a child, or a guest who wants somewhere other than the dining table to set up for work.
The kitchen is one of the things that makes longer stays here actually work. Real knives, proper cookware, full-size appliances, a coffee setup that is ready for the first morning, and wine glasses already in the cabinet. There is enough counter space to use it properly, which means dinner at home often beats going out, and a grocery store is five minutes away when the fridge needs filling.
The practical things are sorted. The WiFi is fast and stable enough for video calls from either bedroom, the kind that hold up through a full meeting. The smart TV is loaded with the standard streaming apps, and the bedrooms have room-darkening shades for sleep that lasts into the morning. Heating and air conditioning are independently controlled.
A washer and dryer are available in the building's basement on request, which is worth using for stays past a couple of nights. Self check-in through a digital lockbox makes a late flight or an early start a non-issue, and free street parking is available out front, where most guests find a spot within a block.
When the day calls for being out, very little of Windsor is far. The Keg is about a mile and a half away for an easy dinner, and Cesar's Windsor sits at roughly the same distance for live entertainment, concerts, and weekend nights out.
Walkerville's restaurant district is a short drive when the evening calls for small plates, local breweries, or some of Windsor's better coffee. The Ambassador Bridge is two miles, the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel is closer still, and either one puts Detroit ten to fifteen minutes away, which makes a Tigers game at Comerica Park, an afternoon at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Eastern Market on a Saturday morning, or a concert at Little Caesars Arena into something easy rather than something planned.
A grocery store and pharmacy are within five minutes by car, gas stations sit on the route to the bridge, Windsor International Airport (YQG) is about ten minutes out, and Detroit Metro (DTW) is about forty.
A few details so the stay starts smoothly. The washer and dryer are available in the building's basement on request, which is most useful for stays of a few nights or longer. Standard toiletries — shampoo, conditioner, and body wash — are stocked in the bathroom, along with a starter coffee for the first morning.
Exterior security cameras cover the entrance and outdoor areas; there are no cameras inside the unit. The backyard is fenced. The Ambassador Bridge and Detroit-Windsor Tunnel both require a passport or NEXUS card.
Suited for couples on a weekend away, remote workers settling in for a longer stretch, small families, and travelers crossing the bridge for events, work, or the city across the river.
