Great spot in the woods but close to the dells. Lots of spots to sleep and ample space for outdoor activities like cornhole.

Plenty of room in this house for our girl's weekend. Is remote but easy access to downtown, restaurants, etc. We had fun with the games provided. Information on the gas fireplace and hot tub would have been helpful.

We had a great time! The house had plenty of room for our extended family of 10. Just a couple complaints which led to the 4-star rating. There were a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The house needed some extra love and cleaning. One of the beds we needed to rewash the bedding due to a pet probably sleeping there without rewashing the blankets. Several surfaces were dusty. Probably our biggest "complaint" was the hidden toy room. It has a locked handle so we didn't even try to open the door until the last morning, when we realized that the door was slightly cracked. We didn't bring toys for the kiddos because we saw the toy room in the photos on the listing so the kids got a little bored. Without a regular handle the kids wouldn't have been able to open the door without adult assistance AND because the door locks on the inside we were concerned that if the two-year-old got into the room, he may have locked himself in and we wouldn't have been able to get him out. But again, the property is beautiful and we would stay again!

Family getaway

This was a gathering of our children and their families. The biggest problem was getting an access code. Several attempts were made before we had the code. The house was clean and served our family’s sleeping needs.

The positives are the space is great and the host does promptly reply. Prior to arrival, they would not allow for an early check in. I am just noting this in the review for informational purposes only in the event you would need an early check in. When we arrived, the house had a strong offensive odor which was attempted to be masked with air freshener. The house was not properly cleaned (clothing from another group was in the bunk bed, dirty bathroom floors, debris on the bathroom floor and there was hair in the bottom of the freezer). The house had maintenance issues (broken toilet seat, the downstairs shower didn’t properly and the oven temperature display didn’t work). The remote was missing for the downstairs tv. The hot tub cover was broken, however the host did acknowledge and apologize for this. Three of the bedrooms are downstairs, so it was an inconvenience not to be able to use the toilet. We contacted the host about the broken toilet seat and they didn’t come and fix it. Prior to our arrival, they should have known it was broken had they attempted to clean it. I asked them about the missing remote and were told it was there. The reservation check out time on VBRO was 11:00 am, however the host told us it was 10:00 am. They contacted me when we weren’t out of the property at 10:00. The overall condition of the property and contents was fair. The land surrounding the property was beautiful.
